Good to tell people the refining trick on the civ armor for advanced refines. I dipped after an hour. I also wouldn’t consider any old general, go with 2 new ones with covenants for main and assistant. Use the blood on senate and subs

Beast work on assistant buffs gold book only the beast buffs not work so I use a spirt beast that you normally don't use like the ones you get

Would you recommend four pieces of koryo gear or six pieces of parthian gear? I have the koryo chest and have enough fragments to make the 3 conquest pieces but I could be making something else with that amount of civ fragments rn I have the parthian set which has the enemy debuff so I was wondering if it would be worth it

Koryo is best for wall gen full stop I'd go for that only if your going to take defences if your a ghoster then I'd get pvp gear for sure

People who get banned after spending $2m is _exactly_ how it should be! Currently, big players in alliance get to do a lot of stuff without being kicked from the Alliance because the R5 thinks the Alliance needs them. Being big or spending a lot shouldn't be the criteria to keeping a player.

Hey can you do an in depth on sub cites. I feel they are overlooked and mainly regarded as debuff and thats all. When taking a sub with 0 gen there are no buffs but when taking a sub with gen they have buffs. Does your gen buff attribute to your sub and would flats affect the low tier troops in your subs at all. The power applies the specialties apply. It would be greyed out if it wasnt. So what really applies to a sub and what doesn't. Mind testing that. Would not leveling subs be better for low tier or level subs for higher tiers. Subs play in def. Do they force enemies to take turns. Ive been winning with ghosted troops and traps. So im wondering whats going on under the hood.

Subcity testing is one of the tings I have on my list of things to test, but it will be a little later. As for what you asked, Here is my best understanding. Subcity troops work similar to reinforcements. So yes, the strength of the general will matter terms of how strong the troops are. (including equipment refines) Stronger troops mean your subcities are better at killing enemy layers. HOWEVER, players don't invest in building their subcity as this means troops take longer to train. And subsequently cost more gems to make the subcity full. More low tier troops vs fewer high tier troops would be an interesting comparison for sub cities however.

I'm curious. Why did the spiritual beast go on Ragnar as an assistant. Doesn't it cancel out? Or does it still boost Range and Siege HP since Ragnar is bringing spiritual beast?

@@stevensmith2098 it order for Ragnar active skill to work, he needs to have a spiritual beast attached. The buff from the spiritual beast will not apply though.

Yes. But only for the specific troops in that subcity.

About refining the koryo gear, do you still perfer flat attack refines even though it refines higher for % than for flats?

Yes. Flat attack gives better buffs to your T10 and below Troops. These will make up the majority of your defense. Also flat attack still does significantly help your higher tier troops equivalent to an non-debuffable 16% on your T14s. Unless you somehow have more T15 than T1s, Flat is the better way to go 90% of the time.

I spit out my coffee when you said Frigg would make an excellent assistant general. not only does she not take the attack skills book but her main skill is blocked out if the main general has the attack book so no sir she is the absolutely worst assistant general or main general for that matter.

If you use Frigg, you cant use the 25% attack skill book. That is true. However Frigg's Skill's, specialties, and covenants would give you a total of: 95 Attack 95 Defense 105 HP 8 March Size -10% enemy attack when defending/Reinforcing. Compare that with Sweyn Forkbeard 105 Attack (130 with skillbook) 50 Defense 65 HP 5 March size And you will see that Frigg gives better stats even without the skillbook. Frigg is roughly the 3rd best assistant for ground reinforcement and the 4th best assistant for Ground attack. The skillbook slot can be replaced with a debuff skillbook if you are a coiner or a skillbook that supplements your protective layers buffs. If this player did not have a Miltiades, It would have been a toss up between Totila and Frigg.
