Oh God, I feel for you! I was a copier/printer tech for many years and we would occasionally get a printer in that a cat peed in. They liked the heat from the fuser and, when startled, would pee in the printer, on the hot fuser. We found that cleaning the parts in an ultrasonic cleaner with a strong Simple Green solution was about all that would cut the stench.

Don't know if this has been mentioned but you might need to get a blacklight and a carbon based cleaner for cat pee. Other chemicals usually don't always work. The blacklight will show hidden residue in the left in the pee that makes it continue to stink.

I got a call to a train station with report stating that the charger for the bag tugger wasn't working. When I arrived the operator showed me the charger which was 3 phase 400v and had a seriously bad smell of urine. When exactly did laptops stop using external batteries you could just pop off and replace as needed? I hate the “form over function” of having the battery inside, and that’s how pretty much all modern laptops are.
@ApofKol3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I feel the same, but this battery isn't even that hard to replace so it could be worse I guess...
@awilliams17013 жыл бұрын
Probably around the time crapple introduced the crapBook air. But as much as I hate crapple, I do kind of love the form factor especially the 2in1 form factor (which apple has never made LMAO). It's the only way to get it that small though. It's not hard to replace the battery, but it does require work unlike older laptops. My old laptop which was this form factor ended up with a shattered power socket thanks to my dogs constantly tripping over the cord. I managed to replace it. And it wasn't hard despite how compact it was. Also could have replaced the battery if I wanted. Fun fact though. The replacement power connector I got had a cable that was twice the thickness of the original. As a result there was a slight bulge in the final assembly that I couldn't fix no matter how hard I tried. As a result the laptop had a slight external bulge on just one side.....where that power connector goes.
