Tell me in your opinion, what is a better build? The series X or the PS five. In terms of quality.

I just bought a Switch OLED and one of the JoyCons isn’t connecting and has few other issues. One in particular is a tab next to the battery that was loose and broke off. Just to be clear it is not the wires connected directly to the battery. It’s a smaller set of wiring that runs to a smaller tab that broke off. Anyway, I was curious what soldering kit(budget or otherwise) would you recommend for doing this kind of tiny work?

A latched key on the cable like Display Port did will solve this problem of broken Hdmi port. Sadly its pretty rare for console ,TV or consumer electric in general pick Display Port as standard due to the lack of DRM which is loved by content maker.

Hi my son has an xbox one x and it has a turn on fault where it comes on for about 5 seconds then turns off , on investigating it seems the cooling fan is not doing anything but shows a 3.3v power to it ? All else seems to fine and mother board looks in very good condition , could the cooling fan shut it down if not getting a signal ?? Cheers in advance and love the channel

I don't want to be around that Series X buyer when karma comes back around to bite him in the ass for straight up lying. 🤨 He wasn't even good at covering his tracks to somebody like me, and I have no idea wtf I'm looking at! I'd also never take something to Geek Squad. I'd always rather take my stuff to a little local repair shop with a stellar review history that I know has been there for a million years and a day.

Did you ever test the original power supply? You said that you had the ribbon cable in wrong so the original "could've worked" but still used the donor part

I bet when they pressed on the port it worked so they taped it to hold it down.

I fixed one of these a few years ago and then the shop who hired me called back a few days later saying the customer claimed I didn't fix it. Came back to take a look and it looked like they had it plugged in before pushing it into the wall. Ripped pads and all, definitely the customer's fault. Especially since they were "playing earlier and then it didn't work later that night".
