Mars your DNA will be unraveled by radiation from space as no magnetosphere. Space stations, current & foreseeable tech cannot build anything big enough for more than a handful of humans let alone thousands or hundreds of thousands. Yes, this happens with every console launch, it's already happened to Ps5s too. The question is whether the quantity is outside of the statistical norm.

I'm not sure but he might be putting a negative charge with one prod and a positive in the other making it zero?

He said the IC should be good, or at least as not a suspect yet, as it wasn't getting any voltage in. Meaning, the problem should be else where, as it was, in another IC

Thanks so much for sharing all the work you did with the power supply. You could have kept the info to yourself to keep yourself ahead of the curve on series x knowledge, and there was at least a small risk that when you plugged it in, it might do damage to the working Xbox components you pugged it into. But you sided with the greater good on both counts, and that in some small degree makes you a hero. Thank you.

Definitely. These high voltage, high capacitance capacitors are potentially lethal if the current passes through your heart.

Or: be sure to discharge the caps safely before working on this component?

I just dont get it why people actually decide to sell or take apart these things without even sending it through the warranty program... I mean the guy that first had this... If it wasn't liquid damaged he could get a replacement... The other one he got that had no problems at all on the other hand? Why would somebody sell this as broken and not contact microsoft to get it fixed?

People are often pretty stupid
@jaredphd55874 жыл бұрын
Some people would just rather get the money if it was a gift, like the one that was working fine. Others are selling stolen consoles and people don't want to risk getting busted. Other than that, yes, there are many idiotic people who don't understand what warranties are for.

I remember watching you fix the xbox the shorted xbox you mentioned in the vid. I thought that one was bad but this one...this one was like the "hold my beer" equivalent.

Why people aren't sending these in to MS for repair is beyond me.

Thats what I was thinking they must of bought it second hand without a warranty.

That charred chip is probably a MOSFET, part of the VRM to the APU. This is a seriously powerful hardware hence those MOSFETS could be carrying some beefy current. If you see closely, one of the bypass capacitor on its lower left is burnt. That would have shorted the MOSFET to the ground, burning it.
