Not to say you gents don’t know this, however anytime I’ve come across the shiny, armor all, silicone and greasy tires I always reach for mineral spirits and some old microfiber towels or some tar and sap remover. I can get my tires back to just a clean tire look and I either apply a specific tire coating such as carpro darkside or something like that or just a water based dressing. Love the content!

Thank you. I hate tire shine because I can't ever get it off, and it ends up on my pant legs. Like "pro" ceramic coatings that I can't get to work, I'd love to see those types of coatings and tire shine removed from the market I hate them so much.

Can you soak the trim restore and protect brush in rinseless and then use it for other stuff once it's clean? Or would you recommend keeping that brush for trim use only?

I bought a 2021 car a year ago and during my first wash/detail session I noticed what looked like deep scratches on the rear hatch that were simply painted over AND what I thought were large water spots, however after decon and clay they are still there and I don't feel any resistance over those spots.. could they be splatter of some sort? I know it's hard to give a guess without looking but a spitball of possibilities would be a start

Is the water content one of the main differences between a spray polish and a cream polish that gives it that liquid form?
@diydetailofficial4 күн бұрын
No, there’s much more, different abrasives, carriers etc

I do have a question. I purchased the Gold Standard polish but it is way to thick to actually spray out. I removed the bit on the end of the tube but it is still too thick. So I just used it like any other polish and applied a couple dime size drops on the pad and used it like that. But there is no way that it can be used from that sprayer bottle. However as a polish it worked really well with the yellow waffle pad
@diydetailofficial4 күн бұрын

Unless you have a show car that is trailered around, flat paint is a curse. Orange peel is programmed in by the manufacturers to hide defects.

I've bought a new polisher and tried polishing my car by myself, for the first time, used meguiars ultimate polish, and a wool pad on a slow speed too, but whats happening is after polishing i try to rub it off with a microfiber and its not coming off 🫡 and idk why's that happening.

I’m not familiar with that Polish. Generally when a Polish is hard to remove it because it was over worked or over heated
