Fixing a Flat Front Lawn Tractor Tire

this issue, usually due to rust on the metal wheel, is somewhat common, even on car wheels. what is often done is push the tire away from the rim, clean it with sand paper or something so it`s relatively smooth and then put grease all along the rim where the tire meets it, before reinflating. pretty much what you did ,but with grease. the greasse fills the little cracks and pits, and does the job and it`s later easi to remove. just make certain you put a towel on the tire as you inflate as the grease can get everywhere when the bead seats.
