Fixing a Floppy Joystick

I had the same backhoe as you (2013 with a different brand). The hoses were all perished on delivery and my seat snapped off at the weld the first time I used it. That was all fixed on warranty. Mine was welded to the floor plate but I see yours has been improved. I have pinhole rust on my hydraulic rams so keep an eye on yours. They are chromed but not triple plated with copper, nickel and chrome. If you have pinhole rust, use phosphoric acid (from the paint shop) and apply it with a rag. wait a few minutes and lightly rub with fine steel wool. Wipe it off with a damp cloth then coat them with car polish or something. You might have to research for a weatherproof coating that won't damage the seals but all I could find on the web was grease which would not be a good idea. Perhaps your next shed will be over the sawmill as well?

Yes, and the tractor has been needing some repair lately. It also saves time because it would sit at a dealer for a bit waiting for them to get to it / get parts.

On my new Holland, my back hole attachment is bush hog and the levers work the same way. I thinking Backholes on tractor work the same.
