Fixing a Leaky Bathtub Drain & Access Door

Finding and repairing damage from a leaky bathtub can be time consuming and costly. When we discovered a large water spot on our ceiling located directly below a bathtub, Joe was forced to research and fix the situation after consulting with a plumber and given a $1,500 job estimate. Thankfully, Joe was successful in fixing the issue and walks you through the steps he took (as well as the steps he wished he did not) in order to fix a leaky bathtub drain, install an access door to access plumbing behind the bathtub and repair our ceiling.

Excellent video!!! We’re having leaks in our son’s bathroom that are going to the right, which is the washroom and to the left which is his bedroom. We are hoping that it is the bathtub drain like yours BEFORE we start tearing down walls, also…crossing our fingers that the problem is only the worn out putty.
