Works awesome. Thx man. For luprication you can also use Shampoo. I put a 3-4 mm rubber stip in there. Did not even push it in a lot just a little and the cut the rest that was standing out of with razor knife.

The rubber streak comes from a punctured bike inner tube. However, you can also use a thick elastic band. The glue thing is a water-based lube. You can also use soap and water.

No, sir, that's not necessary every time. Actually, if the fix is properly done there will be no need to inflate the ball anymore, but if it's necessary, the inflating needle can go in easily with proper lubrication.

Good question. Eventually you'll have to pump the ball again. You can use the lube in order to insert the needle and see if the ball stays inflated, otherwise you'll need to repeat the process (most times it's like this). I guess the piece of rubber degrades over time. If you push the piece inside accidentally it's no big deal either (I've experienced all of the previous instances).

No, just lubricate the needle and insert and remove carefully. If the fix starts leaking, you can perform a new one. It will work if done properly (I've fixed the same ball many times).

Hi. That rubber streak blocks the outflow of air from within the ball when the valve does not create a complete seal. It works like a patch. The streak must go in just as much as to let the air from the needle to pass through into the ball (that's about 15 mm). It works well, but sometimes repeating the process is necessary if the a complete seal has not been created on the first attempt. I've done it countless times with many different balls and always works.

You did not explain why it works - how does it magically stop the leak - so I can know what I'm trying to accomplish. For example, does the little piece get squeezed up against something when the bag in pumped with air..... what is happening inside? I have a speed bag that just failed - leaks at the valve. So I'd like to know.

Well, I figured out how it would work because these valves are do not have a narrow hole going in through the whole valve, but inside they are more like a rubber cylinder with a cut half way through. I don't know how to explain it better. The leak happen bacise that crack does not seal side to side perfectly, so inserting a rubber band created more pressure inside, sealing the crack. After a few years of repeating the operation with the same valve, the trick stops working, probably because the crack keeps expanding, but the lifespan of the ball can be greatly extended.

Hi sir. I don't know how I could better help than what I show in the video. You can watch the video in Spanish, you don't need to understand but follow what I do. Remember you can use water and soap as lube to insert the needle and any thick elastic band. You can try several times if it doesn't work at first. Note that if the leak does not close you need to seal it with an elastic band that has a flat profile, not round, as the valve is flat inside even though it looks round outside.
