Fixing a loose door handle

The one thing I came here for was to see how you removed the plate. I had to put a flat screw driver behind the cover cap and push out (look around the cover there is a dent for that).

Please can you help. I have the same handles but they don’t go up and down together- when one goes down the other stays in the same position. why could that be? The latch works.

Hi Tony I have the same door and handle in your demo video. But how do I remove the plates? Mine seem to be stuck on

There should be, as demonstrated in the video a small cut out section at the bottom of the Door cover disc plate attached to the handle. Simply insert a small screw Driver gently into that and the plate should loosen to display the direct fixing to the Door. Tighten the door screws and Simply refit the cover plate. Good luck. 👍

Cant unscrew the cover plate its not turning and grub screw has fallin inside 😭

Doh! Loose screws?? I was looking for what to do if the screws don't tighten. Answer is: use silicon filler to fill the hole in, wiped onto the screw.

Hackneyrob did that work for you? I have four doors where the holes have become so threaded/wide that the screws no longer screw in.... no idea what to do...

@@OmarTerywall Sorry, I just tightened where possible and put the plate back over, as a sort of temporary measure. When I need to change door handles, I'll be back for more tips.
