Fixing a Pioneer CLD2850 Power Supply Fault

I wanted to provide a temporary new home for my Pioneer CLD2850 Laserdisc player.
When powering the unit up, it produced a high pitched whine, an would not come out of standby.
I applied some heat to the PSU, and, I was able to get the unit to power up. I ejected the loading tray, powered the unit up and then removed the power board.
There was a single 450uF 10V capacitor, that had gone dry. I replaced this with a 450uF 25V affair. I checked most of the other small caps in the secondary stage of the PSU, and found these to be well within specifications.
The end result is a working deck, though the front display is still out of action.

i had one of these when i was younger, around 2007. Great player but i never really liked how loud and clunky laserdisc players were.

From the Video it appears what was changed was C210 - (Electrolytic 470uF 10v)

We cant see easily what resistor is hs on your board, do you have a zoom picture of it please? I have the exact same symptom on 2 of my 2850, with luck its the same fault for me ^^ thank you for your help ;)

Sorry to bother you I was wondering if you can advise me pioneer cld-2850 cd drive not responding for some reason the whole CD assembly isn't responding at all It's like the whole laser assembly isn't getting any power for some reason the unit powers up the display shows like it's responding even when I press play or eject or anything like that the CD assembly doesn't do anything anyway I've just seen as you're working on One I know it's a bit vague of a description of the problem could you also point out to me where I should be tasting voltages that supply the power testing voltages thanks
