Just bought one and thought I'd see if there were any videos on KZbin. Good to see inside, and mine is supplied with a Kingwall ~Electronics mains adapter. Seemed a large tip on the soldering iron for what you were doing😆. Great video though!

Yes it was interesting, though I could not get a circuit out of Roberts as it was considered a current product. A fair bit of guesswork went into the repair. And yes, the bit was too big. My smaller one had broken and I was awaiting a replacement which I now have. :) Thanks for the compliment.

I don't suppose you have the part number for the chip on record anywhere? Got one here and the chip is well and truly frazzled!! Can't find the info online. Regards

Hi John, The chip has the numbers P3P364 / P3P3G4 and T 1 75A on it. I could not find an equivalent so had to order directly from Roberts Radio Technical, you can contact them here: www.robertsradiotechnical.co.uk/ContactRobertsRadioTechnical.aspx
