If you can mow with a push mower, consider it a blessing. I see them as a free workout.

I put a small zip tie on the stop cable. When the rain runs down the cable, it drips off on the zip tie before going into the cable housing.

All the 8 mowers I had were self-propelled. Wouldn't have them any other way. The grass got hight on me because of rain so I had a couple of extra inches to cut yesterday along with the usual. Just eased around with the zero andf still had 71% battery left and weren't dodging bees so doing it all instead of partial. Still does a wonderful job on economy setting. Happy weekend

@@HomeGaragechannel $5800. Look up a Craftsman battery zero rturn at Lowes. Best one with the littlest maintenance. 2 grease fittings on the front castere wheels. Still can't get any diagreams or information from MTD. It BETTER last.

That main jet is always the culprit it’s micro small opening gets clogged, best solution is to bore it out to about .020” that should remedy 90% of no start on those Briggs and Stratton carburetors. Definitely a good pick specially for free👏👏 Always Appreciate your info👍

I found a newer Troy bilt in the trash last night my neighbor saw someone throwing it away it’s from 2021 it has a Honda engine but when you put it over it sounds like a lose blade hopefully that’s all it is hopefully it’s not a connecting rod but it has plenty of oil in it and it has plenty of compression hopefully it’s a easy fix also the lawnmower is in really good shape no rust anywhere

Use a larger slotted screwdriver and place it between the main jet and the black plastic and twist to pop the assembly out.

Nice job. I don't mind a non self propelled mower as long as it is easy to push, larger wheels on rear helps plus sometimes the self driven mowers are not fast enough even with good belt and adjustment.

Great find and great work. If my yard was only 500 to 1000 sq ft in size with no hills or lumps and bumps, I "might" consider a push mower. Otherwise, yeah, I'll pay whatever it costs for rear wheel drive.

interesting question, I'd have to say it's the Toro mower with the Kohler engine. It has to much blow-by that it's going to need to be rebuild but the cost is a huge problem. It's almost not worth it.

So far, I have had nothing but good experiences with the plastic carburetors. Since there is no metal to corrode, cleaning them is easy and, in my experience, much more successful. I do find it funny that so many people are constantly screaming about the quality of Chinese products being so bad and demanding “made in America” quality … yet here we have a mower engine that is clearly labeled “Made In America” and people still drag them to the curb due to needing just the most basic repairs! Quality or manufacturing geography can’t make up for lack of care, maintenance, or just plain old ignorance!

Hey bro what's up? Even though the mower was looking very dirty, it looked very good after cleaning bro. My question to you is even though the oil looking absolutely good why did you change it instead of just pouring out the extra oil and leaving it as is?

because I say in the Ad, that the oil has been changed, so I do what I say, and change it. Don't worry, after changing the oil, it didn't look as good as it did on the dipstick.

Picked up a very new Remington (MTD) mower for 50 quid. Fresh oil, clean air & carb, good blade. The engine sticker says valve lash 0.10 INT 0.15 EXH. Assuming that's mm as the plug gap says mm and well, just from the numbers . I notice you often just go 5 thousandth inch on both. Is that a rule of thumb?
