First lesson I learnt as an Apprentice is to keep your work area clean, especially the area around your feet where you are working. All that cable he dumped on the floor is a complete trip hazard. Use a bucket

You can have more than 13 amps at an accessory on a ring. A standard 2g socket could pull 6.2KW. As long as it is on the ring and not a spur, you could in theory put a 20 amp switch for example with a load up to 4.8KW. Not good practice but electrically safe. I think eFix did a vid on this.

Why not use appleby back boxes for dry liner wall?
@eastwayelectrical11 ай бұрын
When I'm doing a new installation I use metal box where possible. If I'm carrying a repair and it's easer to use Drylining boxes then I'll do so. Metal boxes are always my first choice. Thank for watching.

I do a lot of kitchen rewires and i always dread doing the cooker feed. Invariably 10mm t&e so bulky and unyielding. Deep boxes required for switch and outlet loads of chasing, wrestling the cable into the CU. Its a pain in the bum. ☹️
