“Safety first guys. You can never be too careful”, says the guy with the “No pads. No helmet” tee shirt. Lol.

I've always wanted to win a medal! Hoping this will be cast from genuine Austin Healey metal.

Is the engine breathing correctly as if too much crankcase pressure with just find the next weakest spot and leak?

The only breather goes Into the airbox from the rocker cover that I’m aware of?

James, Perhaps I just missed the explanation, but I don’t understand why you had the fitment issue with the dizzy? Is it not the original dizzy?

Issue as in the leak? It had no seal. I’ve heard some had o ring grooves and some didn’t. Ours didn’t so we had to make a seal. Which worked nicely.

Resto Nation yes I understand that but that statement implies that Healey produced leaking distributors in new cars from the factory if they were using distributors without O rings. That is hard to imagine isn’t it? I can’t see that a bunch of Healey owners had to file away the sides of their distributor casings to prevent oil leaks. Seems odd don’t you think? I am not arguing, simply suggesting that something else must be going on?

I agree with you and wouldn’t want to comment either way. All I know is that we had a weep from ours and we needed to engineer a fix which has worked 👍🏻

Why not just flip the distributor mounting bracket? You get more distance from the block and no interference with the distributor.
