Nice to see the process with the white block, I have to find out why my project C70 2.3 T5 is burning oil on idle and worst case is valve seals! Thanks :-)

@@tony66au it can be valve seals. You can verify if the most of the smoke comes on cold start.

@@realvolvofreak Yup, Cold start but not all the time. Its not a driver yet though so id like to go through it and check a few things, Turbo seals, Intercooler and intercooler pipes to see of theres oil in the intake side etc and the PCV oil catch can as well as they are often neglected due to the location. It was stolen before I got it and had a very hard few weeks, then sat outside for 3 or 4 years. I moved it yesterday and im doing a fuel pump in the next few days as the Sprong weather here is finally warming up. Either way your Video was both interesting and very helpful.

@@realvolvofreak I think so yes, Ive had Volvo's for nearly 40 years and still drive a 740 Wagon weekly but the redblocks are aging so im looking at Black badge Whiteblocks for the future. Had 850's and evolved to the C70 and a 1999 S90 Royal which is next on the project list with a 740 Turbo (HP kit) :-) Oh and a K jet 144.. Last on the list? MY00 V40T I drove daily for a few years that needs some love. I a;so collect W116 and C107 Mercedes
