Nice Vid mate 😎 It'll be interesting to see how that Hortico brand of soil goes for you. We've found it dries out much quicker than the more expensive brands (even from bunnings) and becomes very compacted much quicker than it should 😅 Nursery Premium Garden Soil bags aren't too bad for amount of wood chip inside etc and have found them to work the best for small fix ups 👍 Cheers mate 😀

Hey mate, Did you have pre-emergent down? Or how hot has it been?
@byrny1113 жыл бұрын
No pre its been decent here in vic but like you it has cooled down. Is it recommended to grow grass in straight sand? Can seed maybe come through in autumn or is it kinda dead and need to throw more seed? Im not sure if grass seed can stay dormant in the ground and grow months later.
@byrny1113 жыл бұрын
Does anyone know the answer to- this?

@@byrny111 you’ll need to put more sand down man. You can grow it in straight sand for sure, just requires more water.

Yes. Depending on where you’re located, something like ammonium sulfate would be just fine, a 21-0-0. Thinking you’re in a warmer area if aerating this coming Friday. Only want to do that with active growth. If I were in a cooler area, calcium nitrate CaNO3 would be a better choice.

You can over fertilise for sure. During the growing season I wouldn’t fert anymore than every 8-10 weeks. Go by the recommended rate on the fertiliser bags as well. Some grass types take a little less or more, bit generally that’s the amount I stick to as a base.
