I work in a commercial printers in the UK printing books. Every time we put a book into production we select the best copies to go to publishers and to the media. These books have to be near flawless and we use many tricks to remove imperfections. Dents are common and an easy repair, a light mist of filtered water to create humidity and ever so slightly relax the fibres of the paper, then a short hit of heat (we use 140c) and under a book press (or cover in cloth and put heavy flat weight) to cool and dry thoroughly. If you want to protect your card and reinstate the shine I would suggest a 100% silicone aerosol spray making sure the card is clean first, this is what we often use as a coating in the production process.

@kurtscardcareАй бұрын
@@_______6398 they can help, and they are also a good combination to use with a process like this. But I find when you have noticeable dents like this, doing this method is a step up in moisture, and that usually produces the results.

for pokemon: humidor (15 min) --> card spray + press (1 day) --> repeat steps 1+2 three times or until desired effect. major creasing will always remain to some degree unfortunately but sometimes I get pretty good results Good luck!

Have a slight indent that you can't really see on a reverse legendary collection venusaur unless you shiny it at a certain angle, not visible from the back only the front. Is it likely I'd be damaging it more trying to fix the dent

Been looking at your card care kit, but my issue is moreso cards that have been water damaged and have pretty serious warping, though the overall surfaces are fairly intact. What material do you use for those (what I assume) foam pieces you sandwich over the card? I can find acrylic easy enough for clamping.
