While I am a professional detailer, I also own a carpet cleaning company. I have to agree that there are times that the only way to get out a stain is with steam. I have specialty stain removers so I have an easier time than most detailers. But steam works wonders. I have a steamer and also use an iron in some cases to create steam and pull stains out of the carpet. You have given really helpful advice.

@@TheTrexlertracey I'd use Goof off and a steamer with a plastic scraper. Try a little first in a place that doesn't show just because some fabrics are horrible to work with.

​@@TheTrexlertracey Use steam, it has saved me so many times for gum and melted candy that has hardened over time and it just melts it away. I posted a short a little while back demonstrating how great it works.

I use this system myself and it works. Gotta be careful leaving moisture in the car or getting the padding wet. Sun faded carpet will not change colors back either.

I prefer Shine Supply's carpet cleaning system more than P&S. Basically the same setup for the most part, but you get more. Two out of the Three cleaners are concentrates, and for regular duty 4/1 or 3/1, so at minimum you are getting 3 gallons of product. The tannin/water ring remover is RTU, but can also be diluted 20/1 for finishing like their peroxide treatment.

In the bass boat world guys are using shaving cream to clean the carpet. With a bass boat u can flood the carpet with a pressure washer to completely get rid of what u used. What do u think about using shaving cream? KSuppose to fluff and soften the carpet,?,?,

I am by no means a professional detailer, but I'd like to offer an additional method that I accidentally discovered (I highly recommend wearing a mask and eye protection). Just straight compressed air. My 2003 Pontiac Vibe has two decades of grit buried so deep into the carpets that no amount of scrubbing, agitating, beating with a broom, vacuuming, or whatever, is ever going to remove. Trust me, I tried. To the point I removed the seats and the carpeting. Then recently I went through a car wash, and while taking advantage of the free vacuums, I noticed there was a compressed air nozzle. And while I initially used it to hit a few deep spot in the center console, I inadvertently hit the carpet and was pelted in the face with grit and debris. After I recovered from the attack, I was like...hmmm...wow...well let's see. So I pulled the vacuum down and started hitting the carpet with the compressed air and was shocked at the result. Now I'm saying this is going to remove stains and what not (my carpets are dark), but that old stale odor was literally, and instantly gone. I'm just saying...just a simple thing.

I use the system and I can say carpet bomber you can dilute 5:1 or 7:1 but the others are ready to use no dilution 👍🏻 they're actually very cheap products tho when you buy them by the gallon

I have a question for you. In a separate video you stated that you always reach for the carpet shampoo from Release-it (Encap DS2) now you are saying this is P&S 3 step process is your go to for any stain??... so which one is actually better?

At that point just throw the towel and keep ur seats a bit dirty... 45$ for the enzyme, 45$ for the champoo and 45$ for the finisher and 100-200 for an extractor. All that because you want to clean the dirty interior of ur first car. Got an extractor for 100$ a bissel proheat who has already a slight clogged sprayer i think and bought a 10$ bottle of oxy car clean. Lets just say my seats are still hella dirty judging by the water that i keep extracting..

I live in very regulated state and I can’t get certain chemicals/cleaners/solvents shipped to my state like iron remover, IPA’s, fabric sealants etc and would really love it if you can do a video about how to detail when you can’t get certain things shipped to your state…. Most importantly something like an iron remover.

@Lee Francis I agree. I live in Commiefornia and I hate it. The state and its values, politics and people don’t represent me at all. The regulations here are ridiculous and the state has been ranked dead last as the worst state to do business in for the last decade. I want to leave and plan on doing so but currently can’t because I care for my elderly mother who can’t move. Trust me, I’m counting the days until I can leave and never see Gavin Newscum’s sleazy face again.
