Contrary to hundreds of comments below, I don't think Tony should have his own channel. Tony's greatness comes from his wonderful relationship with his son Mat. With either one by himself, you only get half the fun. Of course, even half the fun is better than most other channels. What a terrific and heart-warming pair they make!

Your relationship with your dad is something I dream about every time I watch the two of you working on cars together. Hence y I watch your second channel. My dad passed away last week. I didn't get the chance to tell him how I felt about him. I have memories of me being 3 years old wanted to drive a car and by the age of 6 I wanted to be a mechanic. Unfortunately my dad used to drink a lot and never really had time for us. I ended up hanging with mum who was into art and music. Rest is history. All I'm saying is... It's very very rare to see father and son as close as the two of you. Keep on going.

Matt and dad inspired me and my son (18 and useless but knows everything) to buy a broken civic to repair. It’s been brilliant passing on the little things I’ve remembered that my dad taught me. Despite all the broken rusted bolts we had to cut off , the dodgy parts , the Pandora’s box we opened by removing things its been the best week off work I’ve ever had. Best thing is he will pocket around £400 when it’s sold and we will do it again. If you have a mechanically interested kid I can’t recommend doing this enough. It’s been brilliant I only wish we had filmed it, no ambition to be a KZbinr but I’d like a record of the experience as a memory for him

I just have to say that this episode was supremely comical and totally enjoyable. It's like old school slapstick comedy like Abbott and Costello. Or Laurel and Hardy.
