Thanks, you saved me buying another one on ebay. I scratched off the surfaces with a small flat bladed screwdriver instead and as it happened it was the same wire you repaired on the video that was broken. I used thin flex (PP3 battery clip connection gauge) and pre-tinned the twisted ends as it took better. Use a good quality thermally controlled soldering iron with a 45degree facing chisel tip for more heat contact. The existing wires are very fragile so don't disturb them, They look like they are braised on instead of being soldered so I do not know if my repair with solder is long term because of the hot environment that may soften the solder. We shall see.....

should be ok , as long as it's a healthy solder and true u will be fine , Iv done loads , just done one last week , mondeo in limp mode 3 to 4 years , works like a dream now lol , beat the garage bills and find the shortcuts , the other is drilling hole in the turbo and giving it the mr muscle oven cleaner treatment , no more turbo issues , , just start getting used to the surj from the turbo !!! lol

IMPORTANT: Replacing the gearbox itself might be needed too: I forgot to mention that fixing the broken solder fixed the PCB (circuit board) but I also had another issue which appears to be fairly common: The mechanical part (gearbox + stepper engine + worm wheel + dented wheel) actioning the turbo actuator knob, was damaged: broken teeth on both worm gear and dented wheel. So I replaced the gearbox part (which is the steel case part). I bought it online on a website that sells brand new equivalent g221 gearbox, from melett not hella but it works perfectly I can tell now. It cost me about 190 euros including delivery to France, but was totally worthwhile. As I don’t like advertising for others just search for the following on google and you will end up on it straight away: “g221 gearbox electronic turbocharger actuator” Pls like the movie if it helped you out with your car, or get a clue as to what was causing this D***$£$£%£$” P132B error code + this damn limp home mode that gave me hard times, too much head scratching and lots and lots of swearing.

Ordinary soldering tin you can get in electronics shops, just take the one that is the highest temperature rated 220C or more.
