So the band-aid sudo-solution for me as of Oct 13, 2023 (since the prior workaround doesn't seem to work anymore): 1. Import the continuous gopro video segments. 2. Add same fit data to each video segment along with your gauge template. Click yes to all script error prompts. 3. Use g-matrix for 1st video segment. In the g-matrix adjustment screen, do not change the left side gopro video starting point (leave it as is which is at the beginning of the video segment). Only adjust the right side fit data slider to match the beginning of the video. This will set the *baseline additive amount of time value* for all of the subsequent video segments, so you'll want to verify and make sure it matches as close as possible. (Mine turned out to be 1:27 [1 min 27 sec] for the 1st segment.) 4. SUBTRACT 10 seconds from your *baseline additive amount of time value*. (So from my example, I take 1:27 and subtract 10 seconds, and value becomes 1:17) 5. Next, you'll see that each subsequent gopro video segment has a starting time in VIRB timeline. Mine was showing 11:47, 23:35, 35:23, 47:10, etc. 6. For each of these subsequent gopro video segments, edit g-matrix, add the value from step 4 (1:17) to each of the starting time and adjust only the right side fit data slider. (So my 2nd video segment would be adjusted to 13:04) [to be clear: 11:47 + 1:17 = 13:04]. My 3rd video segment would be adjusted to 24:02 [23:35 + 1:17 = 24:52], etc. 7. As you perform step 6, you might find that you can't adjust the slide to exact calculated value, since you can't use the arrows and have to rely on the slider. In this case, do your best to adjust to the closest number you can set to the calculated value (best fit seems to be just a little higher than the calculated value). Good luck.

Right! Took me ages to get my data and video from indoor track riding sync-ed, as the gps data is pretty useless there anyway!

you could do a short ZigZag on your bike and it will be easy to sync that portion up.

@biking chupei no, in indoor track, the gps reception on my Garmin820 is really poor, so it doesn't even follow the track particularly well, let alone it would clearly show an intentional zigzag...

As a heads up, seems like this fix no longer works as of a week or two ago. I was able to get this working last year, but it wasn't working for me today despite the registry entry still existing. Tried deleting and adding it back, but still ran into the same issue. Poked around on the Garmin forums/Reddit and appears that everyone else is seeing the same thing. Hoping someone will be able to pinpoint what the issue is.

I wish they had updated it to be able to overlay your current gear selections - the data is in the fit file thanks to Di2 / eTap but there is no way to display that data?

Thanks for the tips! Does the speed information in this particular video also come from a standalone GPS or it's internal to the camera? It looks really nice and super smooth.. so I was wondering if it's standard 1Hz GPS rate, that virb edit then automatically smoothen? Or is it a faster GPS rate from the camera?

KZbin rewards watch time and channels who they can feed more ads to. Videos longer than 8 minutes will have mid-roll ads... which is why people who make content to maximise their earnings will always publish videos just over 8 minutes in length.

It works fine as far as I can tell on my M1 Pro 14 inch Pro chip. Got Virb 360 and Ultra 30 not come across a problem with the Virb Edit app I agree however, hardware aside, update the software to optimise for Apple Silicone and I will be over the moon. It’s a tidy application

They're a little tricky. The Garmin Edge x40 range have a hidden option in beta firmware that'll save two screenshots every second. 7,200 BMP files every hour... I import those into Final Cut and create a video of the Garmin screen then import that into my projects. Messy.. but better than nothing. The newer Elemnt units have a direct screen record option from the debug screen which saves as a MP4 movie. It is wonderful.

Yep. It depends what wheels/tyres you have on, I guess. The Aspero with 650b and 47mm tyres can bounce around on rough stuff pretty well.

The datafields under the Climbpro screen, are they fixed 2 positions, or can you change that to 1 larger field so you can use the MapDashboard CIQ field there?

I am on Windows 11 and I dont see the dot when trying to align the map. I can see the map but no dot which makes it very difficult to align the video (nearly impossible) Anyone else have a fix?

How do you import power in watt too? there is no way to import TCX file and if I convert TCX to GPX the power is loss

I found a software that is $150. A one time fee. It will automatically sync the video about 90% of the time. I thought $150 was pretty steep, but after using it, its well worth that price.
