Hey Dan! Before you get it blasted make sure you have the glass pulled out! Very common for water to get behind and rot away behind it. We see it at the body shop all the time

Hi Daniel and Dan, good point from Daniel! then something else to watch out for; Due to point load of heat, and therefore a temperature difference in the glassware, the windscreen can crack. keep that in mind too, it would be a shame if it happens. Dan speaking from experience and learning the hard way. You might want to throw a welding blanket over windows/windshields in the future. I have broken one in the past from welding sparks/slag. Nice work on making the panels and welding them in.

That's a big bummer about the A pillars but I 100% agree that media blasting the interior clean is definitely the way to go. Might have been worthwhile to wait on the floor pans until after blasting but then again, you hadn't gotten that far yet. Regardless, I'm stoked to see the progression of this project, man. This car is going to be absolutely badass once it's done and I'm sure you're going to be extremely proud of it. It's just work! One step at a time.

my first car was a 75 camaro, v6 auto, and it was in horrendous condition. it ran and drove, but that was about it. i knew nothing about cars, and didn't really have the knowledge, finances, or connections to really work on the car to be honest. Long story short, i got rid of it. seeing you work on this really makes me happy, and no matter how long it takes, i just hope i keep seeing improvement on it. you got this dude.

I have a 70 camaro I bought off of BAT. It was supposed to have a 383 stroker but I just recently found out it is not a stroker. I am afraid to dig into the car to see whatelse I will find out seeing how yours is progressing. I think it is very hard to know how good the car is restored unless you have a video of the process or detailed pics. I think this content you have here is great. Just push thru as looking back and getting yourself upset over how you got scammed does no one good. Great work on the patches and I am amazed at how you jump into things and learn as you go along.

You may try dry ice on the seam sealer, I’ve seen a lot of people use it to remove sound deadening out of newer cars. Basically it freezes the “shit” and you just get a hammer and chisel and brake it off in pieces. Idk I’m an idiot 😂.

I noticed you use the brush to fill out selected areas in photoshop, if I remember correctly you can do "alt + backspace" and it will fill the selected area with the primary color. I love your videos man, can't wait for the next one!

Dan I think it was a good thing that you got this exact car. Yes you absolutely got screwed by buying a car that looked good at first and turned out to be more than you wanted. But think about it like this what if someone else bought the car and due to its condition they physically or financially got hurt by it. It also helps you learn new skills and actually have more appreciation for the car because you did it. You can and will make it exactly how you want it without "ruining" a nice car not my words but I know some people like keeping things 100% original. I've personally been waiting on this project since you go the car and I think it will be some fine work in the end.

Love the learning but sucks that the car is as rough as it is. Take your time on it! I would consider having it chemically dipped to remove all the paint, rust and grime. Get to bare metal and know if it is actually worth saving… worst comes to worst you can cage it and make it a fun car that isn’t a survivor but a resto mod

My Dad is body swapping his bronco because of the frame rot and body rot. Ended up buying a florida bronco body that was brought to new England. Even then the body still had rust spots in the firewall and door jams. Nothing that cant be fixed but a bummer to realize its gonna take longer to fix, to enjoy it. On the bright side the engine and tranny are almost ready to go in the clean frame and mostly clean body.
