I like how the newspapers keep calling you a restoration pro, even though you constantly tell us that you're not 🤣
@chazsch4 жыл бұрын
That was EXPERTLY done.. the highlight polishing really made a difference. I know here in America you would be called an auto rebuilder, but truthfully restoration is more what you do. It’s more of an art You’re inspiring Mat. Wife still won’t let me start trying this. She says I have to sell the TT first. It still needs a few things sorted and I do love it so.....

Since being glued from the beginning of the S5 Project I find myself watching the latest instalment of the Bentley Project and humming along to the ending tune again. All these shows of yours are addictive and also, I don't know who made the music in the Outro, but that's got me as well too. Peace out.. 🖐🏻

For headlight restore, I use 1000 grit > 2000 grit > cutting compound > polish. All done by hand. brings it from something you can't even see through to more clear than a new lens lol

If you want to keep those headlights looking like new you'll need to clear coat the lenses or they're going to haze again really quickly.
@MuddyBiker4 жыл бұрын
Yep, that’s the protective layer removed. Needs a good quality 2 pak uv clear coat like spraymax.

funbot yeah as long as you’re topping it up a wax works too, same for a ceramic coating - more permanent solution being uv resistant clear coat
