The new multi eyed cat is adorable... but somehow the first version just draws me in more. Something more feral, otherworldly and less polished. Where for the tigers I like both about the same

I love them ^^ the cat was more simplified and way too saturated to really be "pastel" but its so cute!! I liked the structure of the new cat's face/head more than the old one, but the coloring and lining of the old one is just too good lol. Both tigers were equally as great for me, but the new one is definitely more your style and has a more cute vibe to it ;)

Glad you have a new Kitty! Stay warm, it looks cold. It is Cold here on the New England East Coast, expecting Snow and Ice. I received a two beginners sets of Copic Markers. I had some Sharpie, blacks and red. So, I purchased a Sharpie Retractable set of 12. I am just doing abstracts with both Markers. I do know lots of Colorist use only Ohuhu Markers. However, most always state how much they love Markers do to the price. The only markers I have are some Prismacolor Markers. I was trained to use Markers in a totally different style in Art School. Mainly, they taught guys how to use them. So, I was a Freak! It still haunts me when I pick up a Marker! I am going past it! Love your drawings!

I love both versions of the tiger. They´re very different mediums and it shows :) It also shows how you´re an absolute master at taking one idea and creating 2 different things from that very same idea. In short: I think it looks awesome :)

I love how the tiger came out. I would have loved to see the dog too. Maybe this could be a series you revisit about redrawing or using different color schemes.

The newer illustrations seem to be more cartoony and saturated than before; they look great either way, imo. 😊👍 Also, I can see what you mean--the set really could've benefitted from even lighter tones (most of them didn't even look pastel, tbh). 🤷‍♀️

I like both tigers for different reasons. The original would be beautiful as a fame photo hung up for display, where as the new version would be a wonderful poster, notebook cover, or even a tattoo! As always, absolutely adored what you created this video! Stay safe!

one of the first videos of yours that I watched was the drawing of the pastel cat so I was extremely happy to see the piece revisited, and personally I think have definitely improved on an already beautiful piece

These both turned out amazing! I think the tiger is my favorite, I love the bold black stripes on the pastel colors. I do think that the two tigers are too different to compare, the old one has a totally different vibe! But for the multi-eyed cat you can clearly see an improvement in skill and coloring! I love watching re-draws like this, like being a part of the artists journey. Also I can't wait to sometime try out Ohuhu markers! They look good. =)

I feel the same way about this set. IMO, the colors are not nearly “pastel” enough. I like my set ok, but I would have liked it so much more if the pastel set were, you know, actually PASTEL.

I love both Versions of each because they're not really the same motives. From the viewpoint of Pastell I like the original more from it's colorsheme. The Tricolor-Tiger is my favorite cause the Texture of the color ties it together in a really beautiful way.

I really like what you did with this video, especially redoing the rainbow tiger as you had. It almost has a Lisa Frank feel but it's still different enough to be yours. I like it when you go back and redo old artwork.

I like the purples of the new cat but the lighter color palette of the original cat was more appealing overall. As for the tiger I like the newer one because the pretty lineart and more cartoony aesthetic makes it seem more alive. Also the medium you used was probably less hard on your wrists (colored pencils are so pretty but they hurt me so bad lol) so that's another plus

Beautiful and inspiring as always :3 The markers are very bright! Compared to regular Ohuhu colors they are much lighter, but still not light enough for my liking or a true pastel. At the very least, they are trying to listen to consumer wishes I guess

Hi pretty lady! I hope that you had a fantastic Christmas break and feel refreshed again. I'll be honest, I actually cringed when you said about how 2020 was finally over and that you were looking forward to a fresh new year because I didn't have chance to watch the video until after the whole Capitol riot thing and 2021 doing the whole "hold my beer" thing 😂😂 I was wondering if I could make a request for a video or series of video tutorials about how to make photorealistic art (I noticed a couple of pieces in the box and would love to learn how to do it!) Also, I discovered a set of watercolour paints last year that are just gorgeous and a lot of people have compared them to the Gansai Tambi watercolours but a LOT cheaper. They are the Mozart Komorebi Watercolors 40 set which includes 6 neons and 8 metallics. I have never used the Gansai Tambi ones (as I would need to rob a bank) so it would be interesting to see a comparison perhaps, with them both being Japanese style watercolours? Perhaps you could see if you can get them (I got my set on Amazon UK site so they should be available elsewhere too!)

I bought the Ohuhu pastel set and had the exact same feelings as you did. A lot of them are mid-tones, and they're way too saturated for pastels. Copic has a much better range of true "pastel" colors and I lean on them a lot. I actually bought the original of "Too Many Eyes" in your Etsy shop back when you created it and it's traveled with me to adorn the walls of three different homes now. It's still one of my favorites!

I love Ohuhu markers and I did buy this set, but my biggest problem is it's a "pastel" set. A lot of the warm colours almost seemed neon to me. I still love the colours, it just seemed incorrectly labeled.

Love the kitty drawing! Maybe instead of looking at the reference multiple times while redrawing the new one, write characteristics of the original drawing like (pink ears, white fur etc.) to use while drawing the current one! So then you wouldnt be influenced by your old art! Hope I made sense😅
