So true! Lot's of people can buy parts and fit them to a car but the real magicians still make it work when the easy solutions don't. My father is one of those, grew up on a farm where you fixed everything yourself because you live miles from anyone who can fix it for you. I can't count how many times he/and his shed full of random sh*t came in clutch when I needed to do something on my 50 yo Datsun 1600 (510 if you're not from Australia). Priceless work Sandro!!

Duuuude! I had one in 1984, bought new. It was black with a gray cloth interior and a 5 speed. Loved the car hated how slow it was. I’m now gonna watch the video. Oh, I kept it 7 years. After the show: Way to go! Mine had an ASC installed moonroof. But, gotta love that dash with the adjustable pods on each side. Are the set screw with knurled knob under each one, still? You can swing them a bit so your fingers just touch the buttons and slides work to your finger length. I replaced my head unit with a Proton system with Pioneer speakers that fit under the factory grilles. Left the EQ but it didn’t function. Flow tinted all the windows so it looked way cool on a black car. Yes I loved the eye lids. You can flash the headlights and the lids don’t need to move. So many memories are flooding back. Yes, building up a head of steam to go south on the 405 from the Valley to the Westside. Then a car pulls in front of me and I lose all momentum and had to struggle in 3rd to get over the hill. More memories. Great job guys! Keep going add a turbo!

Former CA DMV employee here. It’s been some time since I was working those lines but vehicle registration can get awfully complicated pretty fast. But I know from experience that, back when I worked there in the early 2000’s, if you found the right person at the office who knew their stuff well that even complicated problems could be easily resolved. But finding that person at the DMV isn’t exactly easy so having a registration service do it really does alleviate the stress. I was usually ‘the guy on the inside’ because I actually had the authority and leeway to waive fees, certain requirements, and usually clean up an otherwise messy operation. Believe me, the customer is definitely not the only person who appreciates a streamline solution to a messy situation.

Fuel tank welding/cutting safety tips: Remove all liquid. Rinse thoroughly and repeatedly. Rinse with solvent, acetone, paint thinner, etc. until rinse fluid drains clear. Let sit twenty four hours minimum. Extra days sitting are not bad. Turn and clamp the tank so that whichever opening is highest on the tank is highest in the air. Tape all but two openings shut. Use a non flammable gas (Argon, CO2, Argon/CO2 mix, etc. if the tank is aluminum use straight argon.) to fill the tank as much as possible with that gas. You want to remove all of the air. Tape the last openings shut. If one is lower than the other, tape the lower port and add more gas, tape the last port shut. Perform any and all cutting/grinding/welding from the highest point to the lowest point. Bonus: if you have a large enough container, put the entire tank in the container and fill the out container with your welding mix. Remember, there is no air in the box, if you put your face in the box you could potentially pass out. If you pass out and your face lands in the box it COULD kill you (as unlikely as it is that your face would end up in the box without knocking it over and spilling the gasses). With no air or flammable fumes in and around the tank there’s no risk of combustion. Safety first, always assume there is a risk of combustion m.

Love this kind of video! Keep making more like this! I only wish there was a little more production value in this video
