Fixing of Dyson V10 Vacuum bin issue

Never easy talking to my vacuum and camera the first time. 😅
Hello Everyone, this video is about how I manage to solve the stuck bin issue on the Dyson V10. I have been struggling with the pushing of the Dyson V10 red latch and the bin forward when emptying it every single time.
So hope this video helps you. :)
PS. Do not use “wd40” on the guide area, It won’t help for long. Use grease so that it can prolong the smoothness of pushing the stuck bin.
This video is shot with IPhone 12 Pro Max. I will be remaking this video in future as I notice the video quality is quite bad due to the bad lightning and my voice is quite soft.

Thank you for your video. I almost bought new bin not realizing how simple it is to fix. I used very thin solvent based oil (Castrol Lubecon I/M) that leaves dry film after solvent evaporates.

Just spray wash it to remove dirt, it'll fix the problem. Apply grease to the sliding rails will attract dirt and cause more problems later. It only take a couple of minutes to remove and wash it in kitchen sink. Do it once every month or two.

Yea wd40 are being sold worldwide. But I doubt it will last long for such cases and might stain your bin yellowish if left for too long. I may be wrong 😃✌🏼

@@Nachigawa My guess is, I will have to redo it next time I deep clean my Dyson and remove all the dust from the metal barrel, plastic dusttank and seels. That will not be earlier then in 6 months. 🙂 I may not remember that I posted this comment here. I did not use baby powder. I used a very fine milled makeup product that I didn't use anymore. Some people also use cornstarch. Any fine milled powder will do.

If the bin's stuck and won't detach at all, how do you oil it?

How did it get stuck ? Are you able to slowly pull while shaking/wiggle the bin out ?

Yes.. most likely you need to grease again if you wash it. If not, use a wet cloth to wipe the internal of the bin. Hope it helps

When the red lever clip that opens the bin in broken off - how can I get the bin open and then off - I was sent a replacement bin - have to get the other one off first ....UGHHHHHHHH V11 Dyson is what I have

This "tab" issue I've heard others speak of, could this be the root of the problem when encountering "difficult to remove" panties that have stubbornly decided to not fall to the floor when being tugged upon.

I can open it now but now the whole bin comes off every time i empty it.

Look at the red color stick with arrow at the bottom whereby you press to remove the bin. Make sure it is properly latch back in to the main body or make sure it is not broke. Hope it helps

It may work temporary which I don't recommend too. Grease will be good in the long run.

Just any clean general grease will do. Don’t have to spend so much money on this. From the date I made this video till today. My Dyson V10 bin is still working as per normal. :)
