Thank you for your very innovative idea. I will try it next time I have clogged dried ink. I have tried in the past putting the contacts strip side down on a paper towel infused with isopropyl alcohol and pressing the cartridge into that for a minute, then lift it up and press it down on a dry area and see if the ink is flowing ok. That method has never worked for me though I tried it several times because it was recommended by my printer repair shop. But I think your method will really yield the results as the slowly melting ice water follows gravity and slowly drips its water into the the cartridge container, saturating over 10 or more minutes the solid block of ink enough to get it going again! Makes scientific sense! I can't wait to have a blocked ink problem to try this out. I love great solutions!!! Thank you, sir!

It has slightly different approach for laser printer. You can start with printing diagnostic test page and then troubleshoot it step by step like checking ink levels, checking clogging etc.

The XP-305 makes use of four different ink cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. If it is not printing black and yellow means you need to remove it and get it checked. There might be a jam or clotting.

Hello @kranti Kasi , I would suggest you to try this out in inktank printers only if you know plugging in and out since its little complex compared to inkjet printers. The solution is to keep ink moist and try to keep it in such atmosphere where in it does not dry. Let me know if it helped.

This depends on how you troubleshoot issue. You can try this solution 1-3 times depending on usage, You can't leave it in freezer, That's not the right way.

@Gaurav Patel, normally laser printer is recommended for high volume printing and inkjet printer for lower volume and high resolution printing. But when it comes to ink drying issue, laser printer will definitely have lesser issues of drying as compared to inkjet printer when not used for 3-4 months. Hope this would help.

Hi. I have a major issue. Plz advice for his online classes and i have hp 2135 inkjet. Bcoz of corona i cannot go out to buy nre cartilages and i saw ur video. But after filling the ink in the cartridge, the printer wont print and says cartridge enmpty. I am not able to resolve this issue. Plz help. I tried resetting several times. Tried scanning too. But nothing is happening. I am not able to make the cartridge work.

Hello @vandana, Do not worry, plz try following solutions and let me know if it helps 1) To fix the issue, reinstall the cartridge and click on the install new cartridge option; you may have to refer to your printer’s manual for further instructions. Selecting the new cartridge option will indicate to your printer that a new cartridge has been installed which will then prompt it to reset the page counter. This should eliminate the error message. 2) Remove printer cartridge and Align it properly and insert it, Plz check if error message still appears. 3) Check if your firewall or antivirus is blocking printer driver. 4) If scanning is not working, that shows there is something wrong with software side also since it does not need cartridge ink. Try reinstalling device driver Also i am not able to understand your question for helping in online classes. plz elaborate.

Hello @Jyothi Chettiar, With proper settings done in printer preferences, it can work with single ink option. But i would suggest you to replace ink cartridges if they are showing low level, since to use it for a long time can definitely damage your printer.

Please check int level settings and check if it shows color ink left. If it shows left, that means your ink have dried and you can try ice experiment as a hack.

This not a good method to clean a clogged printer head better use a tea plate and add lukewarm hot water so that shallow water only cover the head's ink holes and late it remains for 3-5 minutes if need tap the head lightly on the water you will find that ink is coming out from the head's hole. Wipe and fry the head clean the with isopropyl alcohol.
