When making direct insertion I've been preferring to offset my inserters so it takes 1 less space in length. This little detail has been proving to be a little more pleasant to the eye of a perfectionist like me.

I don't own the game, but when watching I've always wondered why people did 4 blocks apart and not 3 with the inserters overlapping like you mention.

Despite early access, the game has a lot of functionality. I would like to see an overview of this functionality in your implementation. I understand that a lot is missing (for example, blueprints), but for now we are playing with the cards that we have.
