Fixing Stuck Console buttons

What if massaging the buttons does not fix the problem? My speed increase button is unresponsive, but all other buttons work well.

Typically the part with the unresponsive buttons would then be replaced. If the issue is with where the button membrane switch connects to the circuit board you could attempt to disconnect the buttons, clean the connection and reconnect the buttons to the circuit board. This may be more or less difficult, depending on your model.

I have a Commercial x11I (NTL22019) that the display won't come on at all. Originally it was stuck on a screen so I powered it off and back on. The bluetooth logo next to the speaker lights up and the speakers make a small pop, but the screen doesn't even flicker. Do you think it could be a stuck button? I tried doing the reset with no success. I started disassembling to check wire connections, but everything seems tight.

Thank you for the great description of what is going on. The console main PCB provides power to the Bluetooth light and speakers as well as the tablet display. usually when this is an issue on these units then there is a 2 wire harnesses usually black and red between the console PCB (printed circuit board). and the tablet. this wire carries the power to make the tablet work. if these wires are connected then either the tablet or the PCB is probably bad and the console would need to be replaced. my bet is on a compromised wire.

@@FitnessEquipmentHelp I disassembled the console and checked that I have continuity on the red/black wire from the PCB to the 12vDC plug on the tablet. Then I plugged it all back together and verified that I do get 12vDC.. So… Does that sound like the tablet failed? And can I purchase just the tablet?

@@britadams9605 Yes, it sounds like the tablet failed. The tablets are not inventories separately, unfortunately. The consoles are inventories as complete assemblies.

If there is a failure in the buttons and it cannot be resolved with verifying the connections or freeing stuck buttons, then it is likely the part will need to be replaced.
