Replaced my controller board and ensured all was wired exactly as it was before removing old one. Checked all connections and accessible wires all the way to monitor. When i turn on switch, a small greenish light emits from control board, but no power/display turns on to monitor. Tried the pinhole reset as well and still no display. S15i. Any suggestions before i drop $200 for someone to come out and look at it??

Is it possible you have replace any of the wires between the controller and console recently? Some models have a wire that goes between the lower wire and the console that when plugged in backwards will cause the console not to light and will effect the lights on the controller. This wire has the red wire in the 1st position at one connector and the 3rd position at the other end connector. There should also be a little decal that says console on it that tells you what end should be plugged into the console. The red wires should also match up across the connectors.

@ thanks for the follow up. Aside from replacing wheel bearings 2 years ago, there have been no other repairs to an otherwise flawless bike. Just trying to narrow down possibilities before i pay someone by the hour to fix it.

Wow thanks so much for your video, i was panicking my Treadmill wasn't working, screen all black, saw your video now everything working, it was the wires connecting to the console wasn't attached correctly, (didn't do the snap sound when i attached them the first time like in your video) thanks a bunch! ill enjoy my machine now!

Usually it means something is not tightened. It may be useful to go back through all the assembly steps and make sure the hardware is tight. I would pay special attention to the bolt holding the console arm to the handrails.

Where do you buy the sensor? I have a NordicTrack E8.0 same design as this machine, but can only find the entire incline motor for purchase and cannot find just the sensor. Any idea how I can get just the sensor? Thanks!

This video was helpful and I was able to do this on my own. The screws are a bit of a nightmare, especially in the control board so be prepared to be patient! I agree with the other commenters regarding the use of a surge protector.

I just got mine today and was so happy to finally put it together just to realize I don’t have a wire in the right support beam. I’ve had nothing but problems with nortictack

This is a design from 3 years ago. The current model requires a different assembly approach and does not have the same wire in the upright. Double check your model number. There may be a more appropriate assembly video that better represents your model. I'm Sorry for any confusion.

I installed it myself, even the lift bracket underneath the belt. It was a bit dangerous installing that lift bracket. I cut 2x4s to the exact size that l needed to hold up the treadmill base while l installed the 🔩s for the hydraulic bracket (I wouldn't recommend anyone doing what l did). It took me a couple of hours to install it by myself. It really takes 2 people and actually someone fairly strong to hold up the treadmill belt base while you put the hydraulic bracket underneath the treadmill base. The Horizon elliptical l bought took me 3 hours to install myself, so l would say that this treadmill was not really difficult to install, but not really easy either.

This model uses a power adapter that supplies 9VDC to the console. The adapter plugs in at the front of the Elliptical.

First make sure you are using the correct hardware. Second, some screws are intentionally slightly undersized and when the screw engages with the plastic or metal the tight fit and self threading of the hole will help keep it in place.

By chance do you have a disassembly video to prepare the treadmill to move to another room?

Not specifically. most treadmills are not really designed for disassembly. Usually I'd recommend reversing the steps shown in the video. The main problem with doing it any other way is the wire harness. Only a few older models and incline trainers have a wire that disconnects at the base of the upright. If you try to move the uprights and console as one part you should feed a fish line down the upright with the wire harness so it can be reconnected and fed back up when reassembling.

@ so, replaced the control unit (and i took photos of the setup to confirm proper wire attachment) and all i get is a greenish light emitting from the control board but no life whatsoever to the monitor display. I’ve checked every visible /accessible connection from control panel to monitor and there are no severed wires, nothing loose or detached. Any idea as to why monitor won’t turn on?

Just changed my control board. Fairly easy job and took about 30 minutes. To remove the crank you need a 5mm and a 3mm Allen wrench. A small magnetic Philips screwdriver is hand to get the three screws into the control board. NordicTrack is say the board probably failed due to leaving it on all the time. They recommend unplugging it when not in use.

Why did they loosen the 2 screws on servo and the one on lower part of brake? Did they retighten?

Over tightened screws can interfere with the movement of the resistance motor.

there are 2 clips that should be pressed in to remove the grommet easily. Unfortunatly these clips are inside the upright so to remove the grommet from this location it must be pried out which sometimes results in damage to the gromet. the Grommet may need to be replaced after removal.

Sorry I don't know of an easy way. The rail covers snap into place and the tabs are not accessible from the outside. I have been able to pop them off by prying at the tabs carefully but i have also broken them from time to time.

On the pulley diagram, where are the final two in the chain? I only see 4 pulleys, not 6 on the RW900.
