from these videos i can only say that western civilization had very sharp intellect and invention aptitude , automobiles are difficult machines to repair , people could only imagine how much smart were people who devised , thouht fabricated and made these machines worthy. it's nothing less than a miracle . excellent invention.

@MilkTrafficker tribe mentality still kicking strong on you, all humans on this planet have similar levels of intelect, it's just that some are less fortunate and have to deal with harsher environments. Stupidity is not divided by countries, there are countless contributions to our current state of progress from all over the world, we are all the same, get out and discover it by yourself or open some books from the comfort of your house. Do not promote stereotypes, do not create division, it's not going to achieve any good.

Greetings, Mr. Alex Muir, I am Divyansh Sharma, and I love your video course. I’m a man who wants to learn about cars and spend my life with them, and this video course is really, for me at least, the bridge to a life of automotive excitement. I love how you go into extreme detail about everything, and explain it with all your heart. It’s really helpful for car enthusiasts like me, who want to go into cars, but know a fraction of what there is to know before you can pop the hood and get to work. I especially love those little bits of humour you include in the middle, they really brightens things up. I admire how you really know what you’re doing, which gives me, and I’m pretty sure everyone else, confidence, that we won’t screw things up when we try to do something as little as change the oil. Since I love your course so much, I ask (in the best way possible): When can I get to see the rest of it? You explaining gearboxes, differentials, and with your amazing 3d graphics, the braking system, the power steering, and suspension. I really admire what you’re doing, which is why I’m so excited to see the rest of your magic. Thank you so much for taking time to read this, and I hope you’ll get back to me soon. Regards, Divyansh Sharma

Another excellent presentation! 👍👍👍 Fun fact on O2 sensors: In their first iteration, these sensors were digital, in the sense they switched their output on and off depending upon (duh) the amount of O2 in the exhaust. The rate of sensor switching informed the ECU of O2 content and the injectors were fired depending upon the average switching rate. New gen systems use O2 sensors that create an electrical signal which is proportional to exhaust O2, providing much finer tuning of fuel injection. Re: stainless steel exhaust, my ‘08 Altima Coupe with a V6 has such a system and has remained sound (no pun intended 😀) for nearly 160k miles.

For example, I live in Zimbabwe and driving a Japanese import Toyota and this one guy told me that I should remove my catalytic converter because it is made for cold climates and is totally unnecessary here in Africa. From your explanation, I now know that that was totally bogus and I can now fight this myth from an informed position. Great job and keep them coming.

Excelent videos I wish I found out about this channel earlier. Just small information regarding different rubber exhaust mounts. Since every car has different shape, weight and size, the stiffness and mode shapes (eigenfrequency) of the exhaust assembly differs from vehicle to vehicle. This results to different resonance frequency of the structure thus requires different rubber mounts to dampen the excitation forces.
