It's a great feeling when you doubt yourself, and you get the results you were looking for. Great job

That’s an understatement! I honestly believed I was just going to melt it all into a pile of goo.

I tried this on my 88 convertible. I ended up sending my entire cluster to the same place you bought the power supply. I replaced the entire cluster. This was way above my skill set. Great content. I just subscribed. Catch you on your next video. Take care, stay safe.

I was nervous about it because the cost difference was pretty high to send it in or have to purchase another cluster. It sure is frustrating to buy a cluster having the seller say it works perfect when it doesn’t work at all. Part of the game I guess…

@@SoloAscent I agree. I spent 425 to get my cluster. Mine had the burnt lens from the sun. Then my car went through hurricane irma. The back window was knocked out and was about a inch of water inside the car. This was my first and ever vette. I bought it back in 95. Sold it around 97. Told my neighbor at the time, if you sell, give me a call. They moved to ft. Myers FL. Then the storm hit. He called me and asked if I still wanted it back, before state farm total it out. Im in Tampa, and I had the car transported back here. It still had water coming out if it when it was on the tow truck. Its a labor of love. Not many can say they bought back there first vette. It's not the most sought after model (. C4). It is what I wanted back in the day. I had a poster of a red hard top on my wall in high school. Sorry about the rant. These cars are special in there own way. When life slows down a little ( in a few weeks) I will put it back together again. It runs and drives fine. Just wrecked interior and needs a new top. Best thing is I only spent 250 bucks to get her back. Clean FL title with 60k miles on the odometer and the title still states the mileage. I may make a KZbin channel on it. I made videos on my VW. then accidentally hit post to the world to see. The rest is history.

Sweet! Good job👍 I will probably have to fix my gauges too, only half turned on last time I started it. I was planning on getting my 84 back on the road this summer but I bought a John Deere 35c mini excavator for $500 with a bad motor and its parked in front of my Corvette. I should have all my parts to fix the excavator in a couple weeks so as long as the guy I got it from wasn't full of shit about what it needed I'll have an $18,000 excavator for about $2,000.

This sounds like me. I can’t stop buying stuff before I finish something. At least it makes me feel good. A mini excavator sounds pretty awesome! Let me know if I can help with the gauges in pointing you to the right place!

@@SoloAscent 👍Thanks. The gauges did work fine before I let it sit for 5 years so hopefully I can just clean the connections on it. My uncle is an electronics/electrical engineer and we have made our own PCB boards for power supplies that I drew in the computer and cut out the traces & drilled on a CNC router that I made so I might be able to fix it in my garage.
