I picked up this cheap Toyota GT86 from auction with some small front end damage. I then bought a replica rocket bunny wide body kit and started to fit it myself. In this video i finish fitting the widebody kit and install some new uprated suspension then finally get the car on the road for the first time.

Word of warning, these engines are notorious for the bottom end bearings spinning and taking the short block with it. Keep an eye on that knocking sound and don't assume like many that it's exhaust / mounts knocking. Good luck for the build 😜

Oy mate, love what you doing here! I'd recommend keeping the damping setting nominal and upping that rear sway bar stiffness. That'll kick you into drifties super easy. Cheers!

MAF takes about 30 mins to clear from the EML. The car will use air and fuel information from a stock table if the MAF is faulty. When you replace the MAF, after a wee while the EML will go off when the ECU starts getting proper readings from the new MAF.

Sometimes MAF sensors only need a clean with electrical spray cleaners... I clean mine a few times a year as they do get dirty and the fuel consumption gets thirsty or it runs a bit lumpy..

You need to use a heat gun on the fiber glass enough heat so it’s hard to touch before installing it, it makes it more flexible and much easier to fit mate

They're not that slow if you're not used to 400bhp german whips :D 200bhp and not much weight they do get up and going if you keep them in the rev range. Also people rave about them for their stock handling, and balance with the limited grip... should have tracked it next door before you replaced any suspension :) Can't wait to see the finished build though with the wheels, it's going to look very aggressive
