Cori this is seriously one of the best ab info videos. I love including personal responsibility with not demonizing moves. And unrelated, I love your new copper hair and lipstick shade look! looks so good on you

Adding resistance is huge. Got to fatigue those core muscles just like any other muscles. As much as it might be fun to do 100 of reps, keeping to 20 or so will provide strength and growth. Thank you for a very informative video.

Specific ab workouts aren’t something I’ve done much in the past. I relied on my other lifts and that worked until now. I’ve noticed they are needing specific moves now as age and hormonal shifts are occurring. Plus, in my efforts to build more I’m eating more and there’s a fine balance being in a surplus and having it go to the right places. My TVA is especially showing weakness. An effective ab routine is not as natural to know all the right moves and keep it flowing so I need to work on developing that. Thanks for another great video!

This advice sounds good for any muscle group in general. I'd just add slow, controlled, and focused generally beats fast and high volume. At least in my experience.

Hey Ms.Lefkowith--thank you for your insight into proper core training. Out of curiosity, any chance of you doing a video on how to weight train with a chronic shoulder injury? I'd like to get back into bodybuilding competition but have a full thickness rotator cuff tear. I understand if you are not in a position to guide me on this, but would appreciate general training tips with shoulder injuries. Thank you in advance.

I have osteoporosis & was advised against crunches & twists. Can you do a video on abs options for those of us with osteoporosis? That would be most helpful. Your channel is great.

Anti-rotational moves as the focus would be good. Here are some core intensive moves that also work other areas - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZSqcqOAgrp6r5I

Thank you for this video. I was told to not do any exercise that compresses the spine. Is it logical to assume that doing leg lifts while hanging from a bar can work my abs like (my favorite) captain's chair leg lifts used to, but without spinal compression?

Dear Corey: I have abdominal diastases - almost 12 centimetres - after I gave birth. Are there any ab moves to help stitch my belly muscles back together or is surgery the only answer?

I'm 13 weeks pregnant ( it's not particularly obvious that I'm pregnant yet). I still want to challenge myself with ab exercises. I find pregnancy workouts online to be too easy. Any recommendations for someone about to enter their second trimester?
