A 1991-1997 F450 Cab and Chassis rear tank assembly will fit between the rails. It's a poly tank with a bottom skid plate and in tank electric pump.

I had a 48 F1 and I installed a mustang tank between the rear frame rails. I moved the cross member to the rear and had it removable. I built a frame for the tank so I could slide it out for servicing. Very little slicing on the frame.

the last 54 F-100 I did, I used a Volare subframe, worked very well and I didn't have to cut the original frame completely off. just used a pattern to trim frame and then mig welded it and boxed where I needed to.

Too funny.. I had a 51 M1 same colour and the grill was done the same way with the 2 extra inserts. Satin black as well but flat white for the grill and the lettering. I had z28 power train in the one I had with a SBC and staggered cragars. Fun to drive lol

FYI, jeep cj5 gas tanks work well in those narrow frame trucks, I used a 1970 cj5 in my 1956 Chevy short t narrow box Truck

My 1949 F-1 pickup is about 4-5 months from finishing. Maybe ready by Oct 24? This vid was super enjoyable to watch as you gave that 51 model another life extension.
