You probably hear this a lot but I was raised on a small farm and we had a John Deere B and and a WD-45. Dad put a 3 point conversion on the Alice so it was more versatile and a wide front end. I spent many a day on those tractors. Good to hear them out there pulling hard. Keep up the great content.

nice set up. Might I suggest to purchase a water coolant filter kit , set up, basic should cover it, to be sure to get the filter with the zinc plug in it. along with super concentrate of Antifreeze in the new filter. Those Iron engines should of been equipped with zinc & coolant filters right out of the factory. The Lord Be with you

The Alice is a cut above the rest. It utilizes its power very smoothly. And looks comfortable.

Allis-Chalmers built great tractors and equipment. Decades ago I bought an old A-C “C” for a mowing tractor. Loved it.

Excellent tutorial. I will suggest running over the mold boards with an 120 grit sanding disc to cut through the rust layer. Follow up with the wire brush cup and she’ll scour right away. Set your rolling coulters about 2” to the left of the landside and you’ll get a nice clean furrow

I was surprised how quickly they shined up! Luckily the last guy painted them before they rusted.

We had a WD and a 2 bottom AC plow growing up. We always had to add weight to the back end of the plow to keep it in the ground.

Once you get your right rear tire in a furrow your plow must be level across the beams and along the beams. The dirt should roll out level and your furrow should have a smooth edge. Your Allis looks sharp and sounds good. Ed in N.E. Arkansas

I know the video is a year old, but what is the purpose of the chain that you repaired that is high up on the arms? Seems to loose to help with sway, but all the Allis plows I see have this chain and it always seems loose. Great video. Thanks
@Randys_RelicsКүн бұрын
It is for sway, more so when the plow is raised to keep the plow from hitting the tires.

The most important thing you need to do is grease the plows snap coupler eye. My dad kept his clean and greased all the time. He was an AC mechanic a long time ago! Make sure you grease the clutch throw out bearing once in a while. That WD45 will out last you!
@Randys_Relics8 ай бұрын
Interesting, I've never run across a snap coupler eye that had been greased. I would think it would catch the sand around here and make an abrasive goo. I appreciate comment, thanks for watching!

Good day from Ontario. Boy nice looking unit. Never new allis ploughs had trip bottoms. Also good tires on back of tractor Interesting seeing JD pulling ??? tractor with a trailer & then plough Thanks What did plough shares cost. last one I heard price on 42/share

The Twin City didn't have enough traction to pull the plow and party wagon. So the Deere helped them finish out the pass. Haha I had about $60 per share after shipping and hardware. Thanks for watching!

Where did you get the new points for the plow? Also what’s the suitcase weights you are running, probably the best set up I’ve seen for suitcases on a Wd 45
@Randys_Relics Жыл бұрын
Dave The Plowman 612-619-4399 for the points. I think they are weights off a compact Ford tractor. I pulled them off an aircraft tug I had. I built the bracket myself.
@MatthewQuinn-l4q Жыл бұрын
How much do the suitcases weigh? A piece looking into doing this myself now
@Randys_Relics Жыл бұрын
@@MatthewQuinn-l4q 45-50lbs each.
@RJ1999x8 ай бұрын
If you added the weights because it looks nice, great work, of you added the weights to hold the front down while plowing, you don't have the traction booster working
