This is a response to subscribers asking about balance/getting better balance or simply feeling awkward during hand pad drills. The points are simple, the drills easy, but you need to practice them every time you work out (usually incorporating the drills into you warm up). For the impatient among you, the points are: 1) keep you chin down 2) don't get your head out past your knee--and here keeping your chin down will automatically help that 3) slip responsibly--and keeping your chin down will also help here 4) do the two-foot jump line drill on uneven ground (outside) 5) do the one-foot side-to-side line drill on uneven ground 6) do the silly spin drill and 7) practice shadow boxing for 15 minute straight while thinking about moving from point to point, practicing box steps, L-steps, pivots, slips, combos, etc..
Have fun, don't get too tight and, yeah, keep your chin down. And HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL!
