Hey guys, I've been reading some of the comments on here & feel the need to address some things. First of all, I do not appreciate the ignorant comments directed towards my race (i.e. assuming I'm Chinese when I'm really Korean-American). If you're gonna bring up my background at all, at least make it funny (the Rush Hour joke = hilarious!). Martial arts is way more diverse than what you see in the old kung fu movies; it's something that belongs to people from all walks of life, no matter the background. After all, isn't something like cyber bullying going against what Shane is trying to teach? Secondly, if you don't like the product, don't buy it. All I wanted to do was to promote a new product that I feel would be beneficial for fighters. Plain & simple. Third point: Sure, maybe my ankles looked like they're rolled while I was kicking. The reality was that the balls were inflated to the fullest capacity. A little hard to keep your ankles stable at that point, but I still survived. Critique all you want, but please be respectful about it.
@ArtGolden8 жыл бұрын
Hey Lorenz, kids can be very cruel. Some think it's all just a joke and probably don't mean anything by it. But yeah, there's also a ton of cyber bullying by keyboard warriors that occurs on all YT videos. Admittedly, some comments can really hurt and/or be very hard to ignore. And more often than not, any reasoned response just elicits more idiotic comments. Don't know if you remember me (I'm wearing the black Nak Muay shirt at 00:13) but I was there when you guys filmed this and you did a great job explaining the how's and whys of the product. I know it can be tough, but try not to let these kids get under your skin. Best of luck with your goals!

I'm now a white senior and the master told me I can go for grading again in two weeks, normally each grading is two months apart but from watching your videos and practicing four times a week I'm moving up quickly. you make it really clear what you have to do for each kick, punch and to maintain good balance. Thank you ☺

Since everyone's about 'Height doesn't matter in a fight' and 'Weight doesn't matter' did I also mention that people also say that 'Strength doesn't matter' in a fight, only technique does?? So you're saying that if someone 5'8 to 6'2 and they're also skinny or fat and tries to start a fight with you and you're only 5'5 or 5'6 do you think you can kick there ass even if you have let's say boxing skills? and they're just going in aggressive as fuck at you??

hey Shane! you previously made a video on how you'd advise against learning 2 martial arts at the same time which makes sense. But in my case, my parents are black belts in TKD and can teach me at home without much sparring or heavy target practice cause they're not as strong as they used to be. so I was thinking of learning the basics in TKD at home and go to a local boxing gym to make up for the things I can't do at home. does this sound like a good idea or should I just pick tkd or boxing and stick with one? thanks
@rickiedrake5946 Жыл бұрын
I know I’m not Shane but I do train mma and I recommend doing whatever you want to try but make sure your getting enough rest days and not pushing yourself over the limit the only downside to you learning tkd at home is not being able to use your kicks and get used to them in sparring

Shane what you can do next time someone tries to pitch a product on your channel you can be like: Hey! this guy is promoting this (and you give them 5 seconds, no more) to pitch their product if you wanna learn more about the product click the link on the video or the description below! (and send them to their webpage, youtube video etc. so they can get judged separately from your channel/videos) that way he isn't gonna suck out all the energy you got because at some point he isn't standing propertly and if he can't talk confidently nor be bias about the product instead of making a connection you're loosing people's interest (not that it affects YOU in a huge scale but just saying)

yes its BS - ankledeath
@lolokim158 жыл бұрын
No, it isn't BS. I've seen it used to treat patients first hand. Potential for injury was why I said to consult your doctor and physical therapist first before using. The website provides beginner exercises you can implement to help you ease into it. Walking is a key example.
@Cin99998 жыл бұрын
Lorenz Kim yeah so it treats patients that have ankles that dont collapse enough lol??
@paliccolo8 жыл бұрын
Ok, i watched the advanced balance videos on the website. These guys were qualified to perform these exercises so i guess they are pretty good at it. I see the same problem and i feel very sorry for the people who think they get better by using this product. The only thing they will get for their time and money is a busted ankle, or knee whichever gives in first.
@lolokim158 жыл бұрын
The reason why I walked and shadowboxed in the video is because those are 2 examples of easier exercises you can do. Never start out doing exercises you're not comfortable with. This product is simply a tool designed to challenge your balance while developing functional strength. The inventors, whom I know personally, are accomplished physical therapists who use evidence-based practice to treat these patients. What they do is all based on legitimate scientific research that's been proven to be effective in treatment. Don't buy the product until you have consulted your doctor, PT, or other qualified fitness professional, as mentioned in the video. It's your responsibility to exercise caution if you decide to incorporate StepRight into your regimen.
