I have my fire stick remote programmed for keys like rewind, stop and forward key for red/yellow and green button. How to reset those settings to original. Will reset of remote to factory setting will do that?

Take a small screwdriver and scrape/scratch the battery terminals, even if they look clean, do it anyway. This worked for me after all other methods failed.

Ooooh wheeeeee! My husband & I were getting pissed at our new 3rd gen remote 😅😅 Kept killing fresh batteries within the next day. After going to the Google for answers it gave me the Amazon fire stick reset instructions but even after like 20mins or more it didn't pair. So I came to the KZbin and found your vid. The 2nd one you mentioned worked. I even tested to see if maaaaaybe the batteries I put in yesterday were actually drained, they weren't and now I can watch my shows again 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 Now I have train my husband how to fix it whenever it happens again. Is it at least working for the firestick. if so all you have to do is program it to work the tv by going to settings, equipment control. manage equipment, TV and change TV. then follow the prompt's and when your done it should work the power, volume and mute for your tv.

@@KosmikGawdess ive seen cases like this before, so before you go buying a new remote the final step is to do a factory reset on the firestick itself. sometimes the issue is the friestick itself. i personally had the same problem a few months ago and i did the factory as a last resort just for the heck of it not thinking it would make a difference, and it fixed the issue. im not saying that it will fix yours, but is worth the try over a $30 new remote. let me know how it goes. thanks

Sorry i have only just seen this reply. It is a Voice Remote Control L5B83G Control for Amazon Fire TV Stick 3Nd Gen. I ended up sending it back to Amazon and they have given me a new one. I am guessing it was to do with the remote update but still unsure.

The method worked for me in resetting my remote. For the volume and power button you have to go to the equipment setting and redo the tv function. Just make sure you are close to the tv otherwise it may not pick up a signal

either your remote has debri were is causing the button to stick or it has water damage. to confirm, download the free amazon remote app and try using that. if it does, then the issue is the remote. keep me posted. thanks

its for firestick and cubes. sometimes the problem is not coming from the remote itself but from the firestick or in your case the fire cube. i recommend a factory reset on the firecube itself, but before you do. go through this next video and try the first 2 steps, the 3rd step will be the factory reset if nothing else worked. keep me posted. thanks kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2q3qJ2KaLBqb9k
