That Nate Guy On KZbin sounds like you have a power issue. Are you plugged into the usb on the tv or the power outlet? Using official plug and cord? If it’s still doing it, contact amazon for replacement

Just tried it. Worked like a charm. My issue: Had been watching multiple episodes of a show. After about 4 episodes, the next one wouldn't go past 25%. I could hear it playing, but only picture I could see was the "still" of the episode. Tried a different show, nothin. Tried a movie, nothin. Tried youtube, nothin. Did the powering off/resetting and worked perfectly after.

Tried numerous tips, tricks and a few choice words to no avail when my remote froze up in the middle of a program. I used your unplug the firestick from the wall and wait tip and bam....it now works just fine. I was to the point of taking the darned thing apart and fixing the spring contacts but would have to then glue the stupid cover back on as a result of the poor engineering on this device. I had earlier ordered another firestick/remote from your link so now I guess I have another choice. Thanks for your tips and your store is nice as well.

Ahh tyy!! My problem was that it kept on making me talk to Alexa. It wouldn't let me turn it off with the power button or go home, so then I tried unplugging and plugging it back in but it still didn't work!! Then I found your video and it worked:) It was very easy and now I know what to do when this problem happens again!

You might need to do the factory reset code on your remote. If that doesn’t work contact Amazon support. They are very helpful to get a replacement to you

I noticed that my fire stick was not listed in my input list. rather than moving my heavy furniture to unplug it from the power source, I just unplugged it from the fire stick and waited 30 seconds like you suggested and it finally work. thank you.

I mistakenly performed a factory reset when I should have done a simple restart. You are very helpful. Your first tip to hold the select/play for 10 seconds helped unstick the frozen failed message from amazon lol. I am typing this with the fire stick power line unplugged from the source. I hope to get my account data back! Still not working...

Mine is a literally brand new I've had it for months but I have an open up until yesterday and I'm already having troubles with it freezing at the booty screen and I turn it off and I unplug it for 5-10 minutes at a time and I plug you back in a Lowe's up at the same exact Black fire TV screen. Thank you for your video. When I restart my fire stick lite from the my fire stick in the settings, it freezes on the screen that says my firestick is powering off. The only thing that works is unplug power and plug in again after 30 seconds. Why do I need to restart it so often? Because if I end up falling asleep while watching something with the cinema HD app, and the firestick turns off due to no activity, if I try and open cinema HD again without restarting it, all I get is a blank screen. Also using ipVanish, and tivimate for iptv. Please help if you can? It's a bit of a process having to unplug the power every time Thanks!! Forgot to add, I have an OTG cable attached as well, with a 128gb thumb drive so I can record iptv.

I always go with the unplug.....like my router....it can act like a clogged drain when info is flowing quickly, and needs to be snaked....

firestick 4k new one, remote works well for a short time, then when I click on something it freezes, after a short time I will click again, seconds later the remote responds to all the remote commands. Some programs do not open up, I back out and after several attempts it sudden works. It is like it possibly a memory problem, but not sure. I have done a factory reset and reload and it still acts the same way. Something seems to freeze or hesitates. any suggestion.

Hello, my firestick was working pefectly and suddenly it froze. It starts up but I cannot do anything. Its as if I had not batteries on the remote. So the firestick goes to the screensaver. I have tried the three methods here but it seems like the stick does not get a signal from the remote. I have checked the batteries and they are fine. The light even goes on when I press the Alexa button. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

It is actually quite good to use the phone app. I will look at the video referencing how to sync my remote, incase thats is the cause why it is not working. Starla Vaughan shouldn’t matter. Sounds like it had a power issue during an update. I always tell people to turn off auto updates for this reason. You might not have known and turned the firestick off during the update or it lost signal. You’ll need to contact amazon for a replacement. Should still be under warranty

Thank you very much indeed. I employed all the usual stuff ie. Empty cache, reload youtube app and complete the sign in details again. Doing this sorted it all out quickly and effectively thanks. The annoying thing for me now is proving my age on KZbin. Google most certainly knows my age, I've been with them for years and they have all my info. To watch a Stones documentary they now want my age (even though I've seen it before), I even saw them live in 1975 lol. They want me to supply them with my bank card details...I am not doing that! Hold down the home button for 3 seconds and click "put to sleep" whenever you are done. This will eliminate issues in the future. Also restarting wont close the apps. So force close your apps including prime. We have videos on how to do that. Very important or it will freeze up and appear to buffer. Quick and easy steps once you know how.

Thanks for vid. However, my firestick is stuck on scanning for network after I tried to de-register it to register again. The only thing that works on remote is holding select and play to reboot. It will reboot only to go to a continuous scanning for network screen. Holding the home button or trying to do a factory reset does not work. Everything in my house can connect to my network other than the firestick. Multiple router reboots do not work. I'm about ready to toss it.

Hi mate iv got a different problem my stick it starts up and goes into profile screen and when you select someone the screen goes blank. IF I press home button I get menu screen come up and before you can do Enything it disappears. I have all apps on USB drive and also wired network.
