Thanks. I removed the whole rad hose attached to old thermostat from the radiator end - it was easier to work that stupid pressure clamps that way. New thermostat lines up with existing notches on hose. Finally a diy successful in one hour!

Excelent work, thank's by to share. Letme recommend replacing the clamp with a endless screw clamp. To prevent leaks due to lack of pressure (clamp to tight) when the engine works in normal conditions of temperature and pressure. Big hold from México city! Thank's

Did you replace the gasket, or just use the old one? I didn't see any gasket being put back on.

I have the same vehicle and engine my temperature gauge digital is going very high but it stays within the operating range I’m going to change the thermostat and housing have you ever run into that problem before everything was checked out they said it was OK but I’m going to still change the thermostat and the housing because I do not know if it had ever been done before

I hope I am not asking a stupid question but was the sensor built into thermostat and housing?? And could this give me hard time to start in the morning when engine is cold??Did you have trouble starting your engine in the morning too?? And how does it controls the gas mixture if doesn't have a sensor built in???

If people r having trouble starting van in morning....i mean crank but not start, then look up fuel relay bypass......it will save u headache in the longrun.

I hear the fuel pump go on for a few second when I turn the key on on position.

We got the same issues. Did the bypass for that fuel pump relay, and it STRUGGLES to start when it's really cold. Anything less than 30° and it'll take a few tries to start

Why on earth did you remove the belt?

He said it's to prevent the belt being damaged by leaked antifreeze and squeeling. Makes sense, but not a necessary step by any means.
