As a son and home mechanic myself. My dad also tells me I would play too much games. My dad would bug me to help him fix cars at an early age telling me that it's good to know, so in case of emergencies and have extra income doing it as a side job. It's good to always learn something new and never be afraid to get involved something that seems difficult at first but will eventually have a huge impact later in the future.

anyone else prefer mid 90s to ealry 2000 japan cars? easy to fix and cheap no over done too much like todays cars hard to work on and too many things thats not necessary on a car lol

These new cars are made the way they are so the DIY can not fix it ourself so we have to take it to the shop so they can scam us of our hard earned money.

Agree. 72 retired. I have a 1995 honda odyssey with 325,000 miles , 98 honda prelude with 229,000 miles, 99 toyota rav4 with 249,000 miles, all easy to work on. Also have a 2006 subaru sti with 149,000 miles a big money pit too many issues. Evap issues, valve issues. Po446,456,447,448, and302 the worst cracked exhaust valves. $5100 in repairs

My 06 corolla got into a crash. Wife said we will by a tesla. Next day bought a low milage 05 corolla. Wife was like “Why!”. Told her its less headace.

i usually remove the oil filter before drain the oil because sometimes accidentally drop the filter in the waste oil pan and splash the dirty oil all over the place especially hot oil filter

If your using it to make money I suppose that's fine if you can repay for the car, but those new Toyotas are so bad. The CVT's are atrocious, not to mention combining that with a generator, which costs well over $ 5000 to replace when it breaks. I'll stick with my 95 camry. 528,000 miles all original, no issues. Serviced tranny every 6th oil change religiously. Oil every 5000kms. OLD IS GOLD

you actually have to remove the cover to get to the drain plug? Im glad toyota wised up and ditched the cartridge filter. Those are a pain and more prone to leaking

It would have been better to replace the rear tires with the front ones with the letter X so that the balance would be correct. I have been following from Baghdad for more than 6 years. My regards.❤

Got a 2023 corolla, what i hate about this car it's to low, already my son ran over a grape fruit size rock and took out the plastic cover and put a big dent in the oil pan. Also just miss the gas tank and put a small mark on it, new oil pan $34 dollars plastic cover, the whole thing $80 dollars, not bad!
