@@FixItAngel i've been looking for some data to know what is the specific pressure under the whole system supose to work, and couldn't find any. I've tested the pressure connecting to the module after passenger seat, it showed that the constant pressure is 4 bars ( 58psi), no matter the rpm, it is always 4 bars. To be honest i don't know if that's ok or sth is wrong.

I have a long start problem with my 1991 v6 4Runner 3.0 3VZE. It takes several attempts at starting the vehicle before it finally turns on & always at the first start of the day (morning, mid-day, or night) regardless of whether the day is cold or hot. However after driving the car, if I don't start it again after over 6 hours it will take several attempts again to start it because the fuel system loses fuel pressure. If I take the 4Runner to work, I have to start it during my lunch time in order to regain the fuel pressure that I've lost during the previous 4 hours. The more hours go by, the more the fuel pressure is lost, & the more cranking it will take to start the 4runner again because the fuel needs to prime again & pressurize. I know it's not the fuel pressure regulator because I replaced that already. Just like the Dodge in this video, my 4Runner also doesn't have a shraeder valve on the fuel rail that's why a automatically assumed that the fuel pressure loss was caused due to a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. I'm thinking the reason that the fuel system is not holding pressure is because 2 months ago I replaced the fuel pump with a cheap Amazon pump that costed $30. I got what I payed for. The good thing is that I made an access hole to the pump on the rear passenger side so all I have to do is bend the sheet metal to get access again to the cheap pump to replace it. Now before I buy an OEM Denso pump, I gotta make some banjo bolt that goes onto the cold start injector in order to attach the fuel pressure test gauge. Or I'll simply drill a hole directly to the fuel rail and make threads (size 1/8-27 NPT) in order to attach a fuel gauge. Glow Shift sells a drill bit & tap kit in this size. They also sell a really nice gauge kit to install in the interior with a long wire that goes directly to a threaded adapter in the same size & thread pitch to install to the newly bored & threaded hole on the rail. Wow, long comment.

Great video Sir. I did it exactly like you, car is running! The string.... I was like, wow, come on, really?? Ugh. For anyone who cares, a 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 is exactly the same.... Exactly. He may have been filming in my backseat. If you try to guide it, while you pull the string, it will slide right through. Your new lines will be kinda stiff, and not cooperative.... Kind of aim your lines more forward, to the front of the car, using the braille method, it seemed like that's where the "pass thru" point was.... And for other viewers, if you are not an Ace Welder, OTC makes a tool. OTC 6599 Fuel Tank Lock Ring Wrench. You will need a breaker bar, but it works.... If it's really stuck, tap on the top, while you load up with torque.... Thank you Sir for the video, it really helped me out!

Montana Harley there is a range of the LX cars that have a faulty multifunction valve in the fuel tank, that if you (ever) overfill the tank results in raw fuel getting into the charcoal canister and repeated stalling issues. Look up "Dodge Extended Warranty X53", it may apply.

If you want to replace the entire system you need to buy both sides. The left (driver) side is the actual pump, but the right side has just as crucial parts to a working fuel system.
@AbdulrahmanLehyani7 жыл бұрын
This vehicle uses a saddle type tank that has a reservoir on both sides of the rear drive shaft. The main fuel pump module (2) is located on the left side of the vehicle and is a high flow fuel pump specifically designed for the 6.4L HEMI Engine. The auxiliary fuel pump module (1) is located the right side of the vehicle. The fuel outlet or fuel supply line is on the auxiliary fuel pump module (right side) and supplies fuel to the engine. The electrical connector is on the main fuel pump module (left side) and controls both modules. The fuel pressure regulator is integrated into the auxiliary fuel pump module and is not a serviceable component. Both modules have fuel level sending cards. The fuel level sending cards are not serviceable components. There are 3 hoses that connect the main and auxiliary fuel pump modules together, one is the fuel supply line the other two are fuel return lines. These lines are removed from the main fuel pump module when servicing either unit. One fuel filter is used and is located at the bottom of the main fuel pump module and is designed for extended life. A separate frame mounted fuel filter is not used with any engine. The fuel filter is not a serviceable component.

I have this same long crank problem in my 07 Charger. The way you know(because it doesn't have a schader valve) it's the fuel pump and/or the regulator is by turning the key and letting the pump finish priming first, then start the car. If it starts normally only when you do this, replace the pump and regulator assemblies.
