Glad to see the bits are available these days. Did a d2 several years ago, cheaper to have the job done than buy the parts and diy. Bearings weren't available, just complete hubs. Priced the job up for a laugh, twenty quid cheaper to have it fitted by an independent.

Does it matter what way round the new bearing goes in?

Could I be really cheeky and suggest you leave the camera on manual exposure or AElock once you have your exposure set, as under the car is a high contrast area, and putting your hands in and out of frame brightens and darkens your exposure and makes it difficult to see detail. Love the vids.👍

I caught it early before it started making noise. Just noticed a small bit of play in it when it was jacked up. Had put 70k on them, it has 220k so not sure if they are original or not.

Is the traction control kicking in? Check all tyre pressures are equal as they can cause that.

What were the dimensions of the steel plates you welded together. I know you said they were 1/2" thickness, but how long and wide did you space the three pieces?
