Honda s2000 Full Soft Top Replacement

Thanks for this tutorial. I needed to change mine out the same way you did yours with the fabric already on the frame. I tried the trick to lift the plastic to get that bolt out from the motor cover and I did it but I couldn’t get the new top in after so I had to take out the console and head bars to get it back in. I guess the short cut works for some people. Not me. Took me about 12 hours but I finally got it done. This video helped a lot and guided me through the whole process. 500 bucks of labor saved! 👍🏼

I spent 9 hours working on my replacement yesterday. The old top is completely off and my car looks like it ran over an IED in Iraq. This is such a big job for me, and I'm now faced with two options, both equally appealing: 1 - Keep working on it the next time I have a day off to hopefully finish it, or 2 - Kill my entire car with fire and never look at another S2K again.

tremendous amount of work which in my opinion is not necessary, especially to "downgrade" from glass to plastic!!! removing a top from the frame is not complicated and reinstalling the good top on the car is way faster than removing/installing whole assemblies!

Can you plz tell me, I have a 2007 s2k. Did you put the back bar between the two velcro straps and brought it underneath the 2nd bar and then fitted it in on top of the second bar? Thank you guys

What is more difficult and takes more time, swapping the full soft top, or swapping only the cloth?

Imo full soft is easier, but swapping cloth have better results :) Usually full soft is second hand/used, so if u know how to do it replace just fabric/cloth.

XaviEG6 the red soft top after almost 2 years still is in very well condition , very recommends Red Mohair soft top.
