Thank you for your postings. If it weren’t for you and one other KZbin contributor I wouldn’t have tried to do something way above my head on my 2012 FZ6R, namely replace front end steering bearings and replace the seals on the front shocks. The job took a few months because I had to buy more tools, and improvise a bit along the way. My baby has nearly 56,000 miles on it. Thanks again.🌺

Killer example. I think you are exactly right on the price. We know people running the R6 version of this engine that sees much highers rpms and hitting 100,000 miles. With good oil these things just keep going and going. Nevermidn the fact that worst case is a day doing an engine swap and there are scads of these engines available in both fizzer and r6 trim. Great chance to get something really cool when most in this orice range are beaters.

I traded my (stock) '09 FZ6R Claire, last year for my '22 MT07 Nox and I do miss her sometimes but the MT suits me much better she's lighter torquey as heck all through the revs and still does the job for highway commuting. And I wanna get good at wheelies to the MT makes more sense for me. Thanks so much for all the FZ content from maintenance to performance, it made ownership of my FZ6R so much easier and more enjoyable

@@HalfClickUpThe only thing you didn't do was suspension upgrades. But I have been giving it some thought. Would love to have a fully adjustable rear shock. Hope you and the family have had a wonderful new year and Christmas.
@HalfClickUp3 күн бұрын
@ yep the only thing I bothered doing with suspension was switching to 10W fork oil back when I swapped the fork seals. You can get an adjustable rear from RaceTech that is custom built for your weight.

Quick one sir, i have a fz6r as well and i think i watched all your videos, and thanks for making them, very helpful, now when i installed my r6 headers on the fz6r, the r6 headers don't have an O2 sensor, so mine is just hanging on the bike for now, what u did with your? By the way,Am all the way in Australia 😊
@HalfClickUp2 күн бұрын
@@darlucmercier4773 hi there, the North American FZ6R did not come with oxygen sensors. In your instance, you could probably just disconnect the electrical connection altogether and remove the sensor. Is it causing any error codes?
@darlucmercier4773Күн бұрын
@HalfClickUp hey very appreciated you get back to my comments, no errors since i unplug it, just feel the consumption of fuel has increased... thanks a lot, I'll just unplug the whole wire, and later on get a dynojet FC like your, and try the same setup
@HalfClickUpКүн бұрын
@ alternatively, you could have a shop drill the necessary hole in the same location as the factory sensor and weld in the proper bung. Search eBay for motorcycle O2 bung.. there are several to choose from.

I'm shocked. Quite sad news. I often think of selling mine as its got a dented tank and a cracked fairing but its only done 15k mikes and its probably only worth £2200 so id be mad to sell it.
