if you look at the artwork on the 40s very own drums instrument on the s61 mk3 screen you can see a new version of maschine being teased with 8x8 pads so I think we will see a new maschine soon with the same new screen, metal knobs and an 8x8 pad interface! Probably next year and it will include an update to the software to incorporate poly at support. The main thing I hope they add to the software is audio multi tracking and the ability for vst's to send out midi data.

Hey thanks for your vids are you using M1 SILICON ive just bought one and didn't merge anything from old intel Mac downloaded everything fresh in native access I have a mk3 Maschine 2.17.4 and having totally shit problems!!! nothing is working how it used to, apart from a few basic drums and loops and won't be able to finish my projects now i'm not able to use Komplete Kontrol in the Maschine mk3 having to install then uninstall how many times which isn't a quick thing then watching bundles of vids and reading loads of comments on native support contacting them and waiting FOREVER !!!for a reply don't know what to do should I run in rosetta will it all work ? or should I downgrade machine/Komplete Kontrol reaktor etc will that work ? hopefully someone can help me thanks

I had the same issue. CPU spikes etc. It was running smooth until I updated to Sonoma. I had to Downgrade (way too much work 🤦🏾‍♂️). Man it pissed me off so bad I’m planning on switching to mpc just so I never have to worry about this Bullshit. Native instruments be slacking on updates. Love the work flow but if I can’t use it it’s pointless.

M3 should very great and speed…but not buy yet for most of compagnie like NI not gonna do a uptade on those M3 yet, I got a M2 Pro 32Go and NI still working on integrating of those M2

Some Kontakt libraries and those bloated to death U-He plugins require powerful CPUs. Everyone else can make do with an i5 8400 or Ryzen5 5600 or so. Or better CPUs are fine as well, but generally overkill.

Well being future proof is not a bad Thing. I bet with a few diva vsts in god mode playing a 7 chord on one ableton track I can bring it to its knees. Uhe is one of the best, but also uses a lot of cpu.

Only thing compatible with Sonoma (latest OS X, in the beginning of the m3 release it still was Ventura) is traktor and massive x… either get lucky to get one with Ventura, try to downgrade but I read people have problems doing this get an os not supported error (!), or play the waiting game, or get an m2 for cheaper.

Eh, not talk about dead abandon ware as if it's still has a future. Checked the latest update on Maschine. It's more then a year ago. Believe me it is dead.

I don't think I'll upgrade, well, actually, I can't right now (covid really messed up my income) but I think the Mk3 and Plus are pretty much future proof, for the foreseeable future anyway, if not, I might trade my Maschine for a comparable Roland SP , 404 MK2 or something I love Native Instruments and Maschine, on one hand, on the other flip side, It's too much "studying" and deep diving , I can make something FAST and easy with free stuff like Koala sampler and GarageBand, for a literal FRACTION of the cost, but idk, we'll see, All I need is one good reason to sell or trade this Maschine Mk3 at this point, Man , every button does 5 different things, and if you don't PAY MORE MONEY or USE MORE PRECIOUS time, you simply won't get anything out of Maschine, especially a newby like me to tech stuff, kinda makes me mad, no one talks about this more, to new folks, they just wanna grab the cash. Fast !

Sorry to hear that. There is a little bit of a learning curve to maschine and it's why i've have made so many tutorials from easy to advance to also making a paid course that is easy to follow for complete newbies. Yes, it does take some time to get used to but, once you get the hang of it it's totally worth it.

Your not going to get anything faster and easier than Maschine. The SP is known for having a lot of menu diving. Good luck.

I love maschine, but lately they been pissing me off. You are most definitely on the right track. I’d recommend koala sampler (sp404), beatmaker 3 on iPad (Mpc/ableton push), and your laptop with whatever daw you feel comfortable with. You can get pretty far with the free trials and demos especially when bouncing the audio back and forth 💯. I’m done buying controllers. Laptop, iPad, and iPhone can get everything done. I own maschine mk3, and a sp404mk2 still recommend if you must have that tactile feel get something that works in standalone from a company that updates their software responsibly 💯. Good luck, look forward to hearing what you come up with 💪🏾.

They have three sales, one around cyber monday the 9 for 100 expansion sale. Around black friday they have a sale and then the summer of sound sale. Maschine is programmed badly. Plugins that are not playing are using processor power non the less. So I use it only to make sampled loops. Bought an X1 mk3 and send it back. Unusable, knobs way to tight for controlling FXs. Then they came out with PAT keyboards without Maschine integration (no transport knobs), what do you think this means. Maschine is dead. It's a pattern. S8 killed of without substitute, S5 same, Z2 same, D2 same, Maschine Jam same....do you see a pattern? They fired almost half their staff, out of the blue. Out if pure despair (I love Traktor) I bought a second hand S8, and I love it. Had to program a few added functions using an added .tsi, but that's all. So they had mojo. I don't have a clue why they do not care f-all about there customers. But I think they are loosing their mojo fast. For instance would you have replaced the X1 without replacing the Z1 and the F1. If they do not fit the same stands or even are the same size or hight. Bollocks.

NI rep on NI's channel told a couple of us that according to user data they gathered, literally no one was using those Machine controls on their Kontrol keyboards. And then some folks contacted NI and were mad about having buttons that never work for them, which was because they did not understand that the Maschine buttons only work in Maschine. You want Maschine controls back? Convince the Mk2 and Mk3 userbases to start using Maschine. I'll bet you some of these folks think Maschine is only for hip hop and similar styles or something.
