I fell in love with this bag.. and as a splurge I bought it but I also bought the tree pouch kanken so you can attach it to the out side like the normal kanken's come with. You can also where the pouch as a cross body so I liked it but I wish it just came with the pouch pocket. Having it along with the regular built in front pocket adds a lot of space and organization I put my phone in the long pocket for an easy quick grab

lolol the Re-Kanken has the foam seat pad in the back pocket, too. I was considering the tree kanken for bringing along when walking my dogs. I can connect extra dog gear to the outer loops, and then put my work stuff inside the bag. The side pockets are for an umbrella, not a water bottle, but even then, it has to be a SMALL, narrow umbrella to fit.

So main cons are: water bottle pocket can be elastic, a small pocket with micro fiber lining, straps with more padding.

It’s possible to wax it? After one month of use looks really bad. The wax has worn off and looks bad.

Hi HB, I am not wrong but I not right either.... It depends on the material that is used for your Kanken. I thought all where G1000 but they are not. I am afraid yours might not be G1000.... See this doc: www.kanken.shop/en/fjallraven-story/materials-1

Goede video!

Ruben, dank voor je reactie en de Dopper flessen passen. Ik heb er hier een met letters aan de buitenkant. Ik weet niet of ze allemaal zo zijn, maar deze glijden er niet heel soepel in. Dank voor het compliment 🙏. Groet, Gijs

Fjallraven make really great products but I suspect the designers never actually use them in the development stage! Singi 48 hip pockets annoyingly too small for a phone, bottle holders on the pack in the vid for bottles that do not exist! Real shame! Maybe they should employ you to assess all pre production products?
@OutdoorguruGearReviews
@OutdoorguruGearReviews 3 жыл бұрын
Dear Harris, Thanks for the comment! Yes, they do and I don't agree totally with your comments on the 48. In the first place: I never put a smartphone in the pockets on the hipbelt. There is lot of stress on those curved pockets (also other brands) and big Plus size smartphones don't bent 😉. The bottleholders....depending on the video you are referring to: on the 48 they fit for bottles that exist and on the Tree-Kanken only a very small few. I like your suggestion and without being arrogant, I see quite a lot of design flaws simply because designers don't use the product like we do. I don't think FR will ever ask me to look at a product before going to market; I think they think I am too much a pain in the bumm ;-)). And that is fine by me. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs

@@OutdoorguruGearReviews Hi, thanks. I thought though, if the pocket is baggy enough the hip curvature is negated, I have a Granite gear pack (blaze) with such waist belt pockets and the Army also use hip pouches for ammo magazines. Nothing better than being able to grab such gear whilst trekking and convenience. Why are designers scared of “pains in the butt” as they are the people that produce innovation and useable product! Keep up the great work!

I want to point out that you made a mistake in this video as well, lol! Sry, but lyocell is not made the same as paper. The first step is similar, making pulp, but then the pulp is chemically stripped of all but cellulose, and the cellulose is then chemically dissolved and spun into fiber, just the same as any other rayon. The only difference between lyocell and any other rayon is just that it uses a more environmentally friendly chemical process. I don't want to say that lyocell isn't environmentally friendly in some ways, but it seems like a lot of the marketing around it is quietly deceptive, just like a lot of the marketing around bamboo-based rayon fabrics. They are NOT taking the organic fiber and spinning that fiber. They aren't lying to you, but they're taking the truth and presenting it in a way that is intended to mislead you.

Hi Keith, Thanks for your comment. Mistake... I am not sure. Sometimes I try to simplify things to speed up videos and that is what I did. Would be a good idea to do a video on Lyocell though 👍. Enjoy the Outdoors and Stay Safe! Cheers, Gijs
