Definitely should do more FKA Twigs, she is AMAZING. Arca has produced a lot of her stuff which leads me to my recommendations. Lil Ugly Mane - Volcanic Bird Enemy and the Voiced Concern Arca - Kick I-IIIII Oneohtrix Point Never - R Plus Seven

This was dope! I had only heard her album LP1 and had just heard this one for the first time. Her work always reminded me of Bjork but the Kate Bush inspo definitely comes through on this one. I'm really digging it. You should definitely check out her first album LP1. Just as good but with a different overall vibe and more experimental production. Also someone mentioned Caroline Polachek's Pang, but I recommend her album Desire, I Want to Turn Into You from last year. One of the best produced pop albums I've heard recently and the music is absolutely infectious. I think you'd really like it. Anyways, keep up the great work Smags! Hope everyone has a great day! ✌️❤️

saw someone recomending arca here aswell, you should totally check her out, Id say start with kick i its probably her album thats most acessible and has features from people you might know like bjork. arca is a really amazing artist she has worked for kanye and bjork mixing yeezus and two of bjork's releases. she is a really inspiring art pop/industrial hip hop producer and she sings very well on her songs!

You gotta react to something from Bright Eyes. Their best in my opinion is Im wide awake it’s morning, but Fevers and Mirrors got me hooked on them because of my emo background. LIFTED is sick too, some of their darkest songs on it. Whatever album seems most appealing is what you should start with. Love the reactions man, there’s hardly any bright eyes reactions too

Digital ash is my favourite but wide awake is probably the best one to start with

just continuing to impress me with your work ethic, love your videos a few recommendations: Process - Sampha (experimental r&b, great production) Nurture - Porter Robinson (light summer electric with fun production) Koi No Yokan - Deftones (very heavy, sexier and heavier radiohead imo) Hypochondriac - Brakence (very experimental emo rap, glitch pop) Reading Writing And Arithmetic - The Sundays (the smiths ish, with beautiful female vocals)

One of the recommendations of all time would defininetetetly be Jim Orourke who is Artist (real) with the al bum "live at japan 2002.16.9", its life-changing and a piece of art
@sealex68909 ай бұрын
O’rourke is a good idea. I might start suggesting some of his stuff, actually.
@collinbeal9 ай бұрын
Yes please on Jim O'Rourke. When he was in the USA, he was on a label called Drag City. He helped a fellow up-and-coming musician on the label named Joanna Newsom by mixing and mastering her sophomore release, "Ys". Yet again, I am shilling Ys to Smags. Halfway to a Threeway, Eureka, and Live in Japan by Jim O'Rourke are all masterpieces that should be reacted to as well.

Do more twigs!! You could go back to her her first album “LP1” it’s more electronic throughout or go forward to her newest release caprisongs it’s a feel good mixtape both are great options
@mutanTWhor9 ай бұрын
ok, my recommendations are: the whole fka discography (ep1, ep2, lp1 and caprisongs), i would probably recommend you go in order and also arca she produces a lot of stuff for fka twigs and has worked with bjork (they're actually friends); anything she does is great but the kick series or the self titled is a good place to start

The Future feature is maybe the most unneeded thing on any album ever lol. Her "mixtape" Caprisongs is a bit of a venture outside of her usual style and experimenting with some other genres, and its fucking amazing lmao. Her production and the way she takes songs in completely unexpected directions but it still fits perfectly is at its peak on that album ❤
